Brief snopsis: First site is most thorough. Second link questions the report. Third site gives slightly different slant: as it mentions Sonny's mom in the present tense and she died in 2005.

An investigator into drugs and satanic crimes in high places by the name of Fletcher, uncovered what he considered to be damming evidence regarding officials in high places participation in drug crimes. Sonny Bono was already making a name for himself as interested in stopping drug trafficing, willingness to ask the hard questions as in the Waco investigation, and an advocate against covert and mob activity. Fletcher sent his findings to Sonny's office which was received by an aide who perused it and passed the info on to Sonny. Sonny made a promise to prioritise an investigation as soon as vacation break was over. Ten days, after making his committment to open an investigation, he was dead, reportedly by running into a tree.

The coroner's report was relatively brief and supported the claim of hitting a tree. However the evidence of tree wounds or debris which would have been left in Bono's face, and configuration of wounds... (as well as the posture in which he was found.... I'm basing this on a radio interview .... and more on this later as the links don't mention this) do not support an accidental death of running into a tree. His wife assumed his seat and accepted the coroner's report, adding substance by her admission that he was on pain meds.

However, unofficial investigations conducted by other's including Fletcher, who felt Sonny's death was suspicious, discovered supporting evidence that a woman was on the same slope..... and had paid for her room with stolen cards. Was she a decoy? There was a tear in the front of Sonny's ski suit and blood on his back. Teeth were knocked out and the right side of his head bashed in, 'blunt force' , but there were no contusions to the back of his brain which would have been consistant with frontal impact with a stationary object....i.e. the tree. The scene was not investigated as a crime scene: Was it compromised early after discovery of Sonny's body? It is believed a likely senario was that 2 asassines, confronted Sonny, one from behind to hold him while another in front battered him to death.

However, not mentioned in these links but mentioned in the radio report was that Sonny was discovered with an arm wrapped around the tree and his skis still on. The only meds found in his system.... which many may consider as 'pain meds' but they are NOT scheduled control meds were NSAIDS. (This is short for 'non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' which include aspirin, naproxen, voltarin etc.... nothing which would interfere with perception or reflexes.)

    Yeah I got a thought.

Three trillion dollars are still missing from the pentagon nobody knows where it is and nobody is reporting on it so instead I'm reading about a Sonny Bono "conspiracy theory". Only in America.

    It was just a thought.
