What, would you say, is the best soul-winning method or tool?

The best 'method' that I have found is the way of the master.

    www.wayofthemaster.com

They follow biblical principles, such as law to the proud, grace to the humble, and really focus on using the law of God to prepare the way for the grace of God. I would suggest you check out their teaching, it is a great resource.

Two sermons that are illuminating on that website are Hell's Best Kept Secret and True and False Conversions.

    God Bless,
    Andy

I personally do favor those of Jack Hyles. I was just curious as to what the general concensus was among Baptists today. :1_grouphug: (I don't get out much:) )

I like way of the master myself... mixed with the Roman's road...

But it doesn't matter to me which way someone uses.. as long as it points to true salvation, then I say GO FOR IT.

If you look up "way of the master" on google or yahoo you'll find it. It is a good method, especially for those who simply don't know where to begin with people.

I think it's probably nothing that you don't already know - and it really does not claim to be something "new". But it is geared towards people who aren't as familiar with soul-winning and aren't getting alot of training on how to do it from their church.

Please now, those who use WOTM, don't be offended, I do not mean that you who are reading this don't know what you're doing! But Brother Comfort's goal is to get more people out there soul-winning who otherwise would not be doing it. Right?

Letting the HOLY Spirit speak through you...

    Use tracts

    Pass out bibles...

    Invite people to church...

    and etc....

    Amen brother,
There is no one best way, it depends on the person you are speaking too, their understanding, and needs.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the missing element when some employ their soul-wining "methods."

We must be very careful not to corrupt whatever we do by turning it into some kind of canned sales pitch.

We should be concerned that some of our "methods" have filled our church rolls with people whose only testimony of salvation is "I said the prayer." We should be concerned that in the majority of our churches, we'll do well to get 30-40 per cent of the members there on any Sunday.

When the Holy Spirit is at work, any Biblical method will do.

    Amen, Tom.

First, be sure your method includes the entire Gospel (1 Cor. 15:1-8). After that, the most important thing is not the method but the power of the Holy Spirit. Pray, pray and pray again. :praying:

we've been working on this at our church alot - our pastor just preached a great sermon on just exactly how we ought to be soul-winning. Im afraid that there were times when some of our people were going too fast, and giving a rote presentation. Preacher is doing his best to teach our people how to let the Holy SPirit take control and how to let God's conviction lead them as well.

We've just started a new push for the Thursday night soul winning time and Preacher is using a short lesson time at the beginning of that evening to do some teaching.
