IE wasn't designed with any thoughts of doing massive word-processing; to my knowledge, there is no spell checker for IE.

What you can do is type your stuff in another program, such as Editpad Lite, and spellcheck it there.

    Sherrie,
If you will check out the topic "Free Shareware" here, there is a link to a spell checker for IE. I have installed it and it works great.

Hey, Terry--I'm not finding that topic. Is it in the archives?

Or perhaps you could just re-post the link for us, please?

    Don and Sherrie,

ieSpell A great spell checker plug-in for IE (but works with Avant in the right-click menu as well). It enables one to check spelling in forums such as this one or when filling out forms online. http://www.iespell.com/ [IMG]

By the way, Sherrie, ieSpell will put a button on your IE browser toolbar.

For more good freeware suggestions, check out the "Best Freeware" thread. http://www.baptistboard.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=45;t=000259

Thanks, Pastor K; I was looking for a post from Terry in that thread, and completely overlooked that you had it in your list.

I downloaded the spell checker program, but had a hard time figure out how it works. Finally in MSWord it opened the reply window, and now I am going to see if it will correct the misspellings.

Actually, it skipped my post and went right into the posts before me and started to point out the misspellings there. Hey, I don't want to point out the splinter in your eyes folks, for I probably have a beam in mine... [IMG]

The only thing this program doesn't do is to add the Graemlins. I have to do it manually.... and it is a waste of time... [IMG]
