Is there a difference? Is salvation of the soul eternal security and salvation of the Spirit based on works? Thanks.

I guess those of us who believe in man consisting of body and soul; a dichotomy, are in trouble regarding salvation.

Jesus died to save my soul; Jesus died to make me whole..........

    Cheers,

No. I don't believe there is real distinction between soul and spirit.

We are material and immaterial. Sometimes soul means "life" in the Bible. Many times "soul" and "spirit" are interchangeable. I think trying to make a distinction leads to weird, bizarre theology.

Salvation in Christ is total salvation! We are saved spiritually, mentally, physically, etc. The physical part we see later in the resurrection.
