    Leaving aside the tune, the worst that can be said of the SSB is it's anti-British (have you read the rest of the verses?). Folks, also forget the question that ends the chorus "Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave, o'r the land of the free and the home of the brave." For many, the answer is a regretful no.

    I love our national anthem. I get goose bumps every time it's played. I especially enjoy what's popularly called its fourth verse:

    O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
    Between their loved home and the war's desolation.
    Blessed with victory and peace, may our heaven-rescued land
    Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation
    Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
    And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
    And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
    O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

    AMEN:thumbsup: Whenever I sing this song, I make it a point to include this verse, also. Many people know the first verse, but have no idea there are other verses to the song, including this one with our motto. Thank you for reminding us!
