    >Death panels already exist.

Is the government required to keep every person alive as long as it is technically possible? If not, then you want death panels.

If my dad had been a dog, I would have put him down at least a half year before he died. I have told my kids to put me down if I get that bad. I'm not afraid to go to Jesus!

bill, this is why people have "Living Wills" or "Health Care Directives." This is a choice made by individuals as to their own personal wishes in the event that "time" comes. It is NOT the government's role to override those personal decisions between a patient and their doctor or to deny payment for necessary life sustaining services because a "quota" has been met or the cost of paying for those services is expensive to tax payers as on Medicare. Don't forget obama stole 500 BILLION from Medicare to help pay for obamacare.

    >Are you on a state subsidized risk pool?

Which is plain old welfare, same as Medicare and SSI. <

Not really. The person is still paying insurance premiums but a part of the premium cost is picked up by the State. Not quite the same as welfare, where there is no individual skin in the game.

What convinced us that we had an inalienable right to cease working for our bread?

"he who doth not work doth not eat,:"
"and having food and raiment let us therewith be content"

You take care of your parents then....you raise good, godly, children, and you love and care for one another. You take care of your aging parents, your godly children take care of you. The New Testament as well, has very much to say about taking care of the "widows indeed" etc... Your Social Security, should be your children and your local Church.

Taxes are an altogether inherent (but necessary) evil. Governments do not, and cannot generate or create wealth, they can only confiscate it through force. All wealth confiscated through taxes removes Capital from the private sector (which does create wealth).Taxes are ideally, lowered as much as possible upon EVERYBODY....
This includes the "rich". A term rarely defined by net wealth, as it should be, but rather only the particular amount they made in income in 1 particular year. Complicated  things like this, escape the miniscule minds of liberals, who (because they almost never start businesses or create wealth) fail to realize that someone who starts a business might lose money for 2-3 years in a row, and therefore get more and more in debt, and yet, when their risk and hard work eventually pay off to say...a $275k single year net profit....with no future guarantee of profit, they are now officially "rich" and must lose it to ne'er-do wells (who will not help them pay off their business loans.)

:laugh::wavey: It's called "money laundering" And thankfully, hard-working Americans are wisening up to how the scheme works.
