I was reading through some statistics on the SBC.

    * Noted was the decline in reported Baptisms.

    * Noted was the decline in giving (I am sure some due to the great recession)

I am interested in the changing historic stance with the Cooperative Program and am sure it has changed, tho minor, over the years.

What are your thoughts on retaining the CP? I honestly have some concerns, though I think the SBC is more a "small church" convention with some large church participation.

The history of the CP is a proper subject for this forum, but opinions on whether it should be retained belong elsewhere.
