Your response to scripture should have been to make disciples. So I assume you have done that?

We all do a little easy believism--so it must be all right. It could be all wrong.

If we give accolades to the faithful, we do them a disservice--their reward is in heaven. If we give accolades to the unfaithful, we do err not knowing the scripture nor the power of God.

Personal, lifelong, dedication could also be ascribed to an atheist or an agnostic. Such a criteria does not necessarily qualify a person for anything divine. Satan is sincerely dedicated to his purpose--overthrowing the Kingdom of God.

If the world thinks you did a good job, look out, the world really hates the real followers of Jesus--they preach the real gospel. All others(gospels)are anathema.

I used to proof Ph.D dissertations, and I still have no idea what Bro. James was trying to say.

My best guesses on his post's meanings:
-we are wrong to express appreciation for anyone doing anything well.
-If you are respected at any level, you are preaching a false gospel.
-Billy Graham is doing Satan's work.

Is that what you're telling us, Bro.James?

The question was regarding making a statue to a world renowned evangelist.

Only the praise from heaven is of any lasting value--everything else is the praise of men--the reward of this world--made of wood, hay and stubble. It will burn up at the Bema Seat.

IF Billy Graham is not preaching the true gospel, there is only one other possibility regarding his employer. I am not the judge, even though I have heard him preach at least annually for 45 years.

This is not a dissertation of a Right Reverend Doctor.

Is it possible that God saves His lost sheep in spite of how we fail at preaching His Word?

    Selah,

    Bro. James

OK...common ground on the statue. I think it's silly to do them, and it can be a waste of money (depends on who pays as to whether that's my business or not).

But...since you see error in Graham's theology, you claim he is doing Satan's work???

    Gee...hope YOUR theology's perfect. Otherwise...

I don't necessarily agree or disagree with the statue. I heard the call of the Holy Spirit at one his crusades, so I am not one to question his methods. Yes, he may have flaws... but I certainly am not without them. I don't believe having a statue honoring (not worshipping) Billy Graham is against Scripture.

    I am a 'she'....
And, do you have evidence that "he" played his audience? If so, please share with all of us.

I didn't say anything about you questioning my opinion. I respect your opinion that you don't respect and admire him.
I was questioning if you could back up what you had said previously on this thread. When someone says that Billy Graham plays his audience, I'd like to see or hear some documentation on this statement. Surely the media has picked up on this and printed many articles about it if you had this opinion as well. [IMG]

And, I'll end my "thoughts" on that matter for tonight. People never cease to amaze me.
