Subjects You Avoid

Threads that ask me about subjects I avoid!!! lol

I will say, that I try to avoid the C/A threads.
and ME discussions... I orginally got involved in the ME discussions, but got out... FAST!

I also try to stay away from the other denoms forum... to much SDA and RCC stuff.

And for some reason, the women won't let me in their protected forum!!!

 

It depends on the day for me. It appears that the topics I try to avoid are the ones in which I engage in adamant and zealous battles over on other days.

Bible version
Calv issue

The other topic type I have been striving to avoid is stuff that I might consider idle.

I also try to not post on threads that are not completely created yet... but again I have went against my standards...

 

I tend to avoid:

C/A Arguments
Bible Versions (KJVO)
Long hair on women
Women wearing Pants
Head coverings

 

Mental illness is caused by sin (?) hmmm.

or all of the above ... try not to argue about any of them on here. It's hard enough to understand humor on line much less if someone is posting angry or just forcefully. And one man's strongly held and stated opinion is often mistaken for anger.

Besides, I've never changed my mind because of on line posts. The changes in my beliefs have come because of the friendships I have with people who differ from me.

 

I marked two that I try to avoid POSTING on. I read them any way because I've learned a lot reading them.

But even then it depends on the day. I have removed myself from threads that became heated or that I felt were going round the mulberry bush :O

 

Ones I know little or nothing about and ones that are there for a fight rather than knowing another person's view. We spend to much time fighting among ourselves, rather than being a light to the world, showing them the Gospel, or that has been the case with me at times.

this might sounds terrible, but maybe even more than subjects, I am learning that I might be better avoiding threads started by some people. :tonofbricks:

 

Although I'm new, having been here for a week or so now, I have found threads that I avoid. The primary threads I avoid are ones in which I have no opinion yet (such as C/A discussion). I avoid debate threads where the other people are obviously much more familiar with the subject matter. And I think I would avoid threads dealing with menopause or other "female issues", but I haven't come across them yet.

So I guess that's why I don't have too many posts under my belt yet.

I am sorta with Tom Bryant... somtimes I will avoid some poeple.... for a season. Those seasons are short though...

 

I often read C/A threads but I usually don't post because I don't have time to get involved. Those threads also tend to go round-and-round over the same ground repeatedly.
