We got about half an hour before the moon starts to look amazing. Broken cloudcover here so I'm hoping for a clear view. Anybody else going to step outside for a minute or two and check this out?

There was an individual on another Baptist forum site, on which I used to post, who was convinced that the Blood Moons were a sign that the Apocalypse was nigh. He must be popping Rolaids from a Pez Dispenser tonight.

Yeah, hopefully we don't have a bunch of people committing ritual suicide like the Halebop scenario.

Cloud cover is getting thick which is bumming me out. I guess I'll try again in 18 years. /marks calendar/

It's hazy here; hard to tell where the moon is right now.

I've got a great view of it here in Minneapolis.

Taken around 9:00 pm CDT with phone camera. Photo was cropped to show only the moon. Looking at the original photograph the moon looks like a pinprick of pink light.

    Thanks Captain killjoy.

Anyway. Clouds are broken up enough to give me an intermittent view. Not bad.

Yeah, saw it around moon rise in western WA state. Right now, it's looking like a large full moon with a sliver cut out of it, the eclipse must still be going on but the red color is absent.
