I also think it will be the Broncos & Panthers.

    My prediction:

    Denver 38, Carolina 24

I do think the REAL Super Bowl with the 2 best teams will be this weekend...Broncos & Steelers.

    Broncos 31, Steelers 17

I always took the opposite idea...that if my team lost in the playoffs, I hope whoever beat them went all the way, so that at least they lost to the best, and not some loser of a team. As a once fan of the Houston Oilers, believe me, I know the feeling. (Still, Luv Ya Blue)!

My wife's WHOLE family are NE fans too. I do feel for you though - being married to one of the division rival fans is worse. She must be a seriously gorgeous woman for you to overlook her poor taste in football teams ;) .

I have heard that in order to acclimate himself for the game, the Steelers QB has spent time laying on his back on the grass looking up at the sky. That way, he will be used to it come game day against the Broncos. [IMG]

I went against my coin-flip system and picked the Bears to win. However, the same system had the Colts winning. So, I'll go with who I want to win on one side and who I'm confident will win on the other and say Seattle-Pittsburgh in Super Bowl Extra Large.

Now that my beloved Broncos have gone by the wayside I would like to revise my comments on the Super Bowl/Church service thread. :D

This is the one SB that I have absolutely zero interest in and this is coming from a huge football fan. Maybe it was because of my Broncos losing or neither team interests me. I won’t even hurry back home from church to watch it. I may catch some of the 2nd half, but either way it just seems like the most boring match up I can ever remember.

That sounds like the reason. When your own team gets dominated in the last round before the Superbowl you are not too excited about the game.

But hey there is always next year for the Donkeys, they might even get TO. [IMG]

T.O. would be a huge lift to our team if he behaves.

Here's what will happen if TO goes to the Donkeys. He will have 1 good season and then expect a new contract making more money. When that doesn't happen, he'll rip Shanahan, Plummer, the organization and anybody else he can think of. He's followed the same general playbook at Frisco and the Iggles, and I see no reason why he won't do the same thing at Denver.

    BTW, Pittsburgh 28 Seattle 14

I have been reading back over this thread. No one before the playoffs started selected a Pitts and Seattle Superbowl. One person picked this matchup before the last round of games.

I am going with the Steelers 24 Seahawks 21

The funny thing about the Steelers playoff games so far is that they have given up 17, 18, and 17 points on defense. They have scored 31, 21, and 34 points for an average score of 28 to 17.

So that folks is my predicted score. The Steelers 28 and the Seahawks 17.

Now, Troy Palamalu may have an ankle sprain that could slow him up. If that's the case and his play is hindered, I say the Steelers 28 and the Seahawks 24.
