A reporter at the Washington Free Beacon discovered that The New York Times’ embarrassing story attacking Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio for traffic violations was almost certainly planted by a Democratic super PAC. (RELATED: Marco Rubio And His Wife Have Gotten A Bunch Of Traffic Tickets)

“Marco Rubio and His Wife Cited 17 Times for Traffic Infractions” is the headline of Friday’s Times piece, which credits three separate reporters. Missing from the headline is the important context that the candidate himself only had four violations to his name, over the span of two decades.

The Times took a lot of heat for the story from conservatives, who saw the piece as pointless and petty. But in an actual work of journalism, the Free Beacon’s Brent Scher noted that Rubio’s records weren’t pulled by the Times at all, but by Democratic opposition group American Bridge.

Who cares how many tickets any of them have had?

    Were they DWIs?

    This is a non story.

True, but the point is the DNC did the background work and gave it to the reporter. The reporter did not do it themselves.

It should be noted that, of the 17 tickets, only four were Marco's and the rest were his wife's.

And that's over a period of sixteen years, which averages out to about a ticket every four years. That's not all that many.

Now that that's out of the way, so what? Last I heard, he's running for president, not our chauffer.

That the Democrats have to resort to such childishness just shows how desperate they really are and is only more evidence that they do not belong behind the wheel (no pun intended) of this country.

No one ever brought up Obama's tickets when her was a candidate. It's because Rubio is white.
