Barack has no trail of dirt except in the minds of right-wingers who are sore losers.

 

Has any president stepped foot in the white house pure as the fresh fallen snow?

I think not.

 

Not in my lifetime although Truman was rumored to be connected to a political machine in St. Louis. Also I believe there was a president early in the 20th century who had ties to the NY political machine, Tamanny[sp] Hall. I would have to do some research, which I am not inclined to do, to establish both statements. It is certain, however, that none had the type of unamerican associates that Barak had.

 

The radical Right tried to take down Bill Clinton before he was sworn in just as they've tried to do unsuccessfully with Obama. Does the phrase "Innocent until proven guilty ring a bell?"

 

Are you going to describe this trail of dirt or tell us where to find it? What has he done that you call too dirty for the White House?

LeBuick made a good point - please enumerate the dirt on the trail. Maybe I'll be convinced to change my mind then.

I still don't think any pol enters the white house without a good bit of dirt in his/her wake.

 

==Obama himself has no "dirt trail". There is no evidence of wrong doing on Obama's part in the current situation with the Illinois governor. Obama's worst problem so far has been the people he used to get to where he is. As for presidents coming to office with mud on their shoes, well I can think of Bill Clinton. However there is a level of historical truth to the point that no president enters office without some mud on his shoes.

Yes, as I stated, a whole bunch of Christian conservatives have proven that they conduct themselves no better in politics than non-Christians do.
