God has consequences for individuals, communities, and nations.

In our country, each level of responsibility and response has reflected the attitudes of those 'below'.

When we think we can delegate our individual responsibility... we err in relieving ourselves and passing it on to our communities and our country. Our nation is under God's judgement for turning its back on God and denying him. We are under judgement for our liberty to exercise our choices and our influence to keep a just government, and how we have neglected to keep it and preserve it and cleanse it through our active exercise of citizenship:

Should the govt obey the Bible? Is that not mingling church and state? Just food for thought.

Of course they should. And if that is mixing church and state so be it.....I'm no fan of the bastardized separation clause anyway.

The government should obey the precepts of the Bible if they're voted into law and are constitutional. In this case, howver we're not just talking about Biblical standards. Many people of other religions or even atheists support helping the poor in our society. I suppose you'd call it a sense of shared humanity.

I'm not suggesting that each individual Christ should not do their own part to help the poor. However, some tasks are so big they require large organizations in addition to individuals. Feeding the poor, invading Iraq, etc.
