All of Congress on all sides are up there far to much, get paid far to much, and rely on those offices as a career. It was not intended that in the beginning.
“Nowhere in … [the Constitution] does it say the Senate has a duty to give presidential nominees a vote.” ~ Senator Harry Reid 2005
No Senate leader in history worked less than Harry Reid. Less legislation brought to the floor for discussion and less passed than any in modern memory. Set the gold standard for do nothing while Obama in office and nothing but obstruct when Bush was in office. A complete match for the zero.

CTB- Does the DNC pay you per post or per word? *laugh*
You mean he works for his money?
I wrote my Republican Congressman last year after he signed the Omnibus budget package that I would no longer support him in any further elections.
We have a President who is responsible for enforcing law, ignoring law and making new rules.
We have Supreme Court re-interpreting law, against the express intent of the congress and people.
And we have Legislators (Congress) signing laws that they don't write and can't read or understand.
No wonder we will be voting for a bunch of clowns this year, Washington's a circus.
