You can't make this up...it would be funny...if it wasn't an actual idea under consideration.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081205/ap_on_bi_ge/farm_scene_cow_tax_2

    from the article:

The primary spokesman for this stupid law quoted in the article? People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

This would bankrupt many farmers in my state. Not that these morons care.

And folks wonder why I don't trust government..

Well this stinks about as bad as Harry Reid does!

Why don't they tax the blowhards in DC!

If anything is polluting America, it is the useless peices of dung in public office that would support this kind of nonsense.

See, I can make stinky puns as well as rbell!

Even though I'm a farmer, this is the first time I got wind of this proposal.

I just was not aware that there was anything like this up in the air.

But I think I will pass on commenting on it, for now. ;)

It would seem right to me to not let the left hand know what the right hand is doing.

Don't speak too loudly. You might be next. On average, the human species experience flatus up to 7 times each day. Not to mention belches!

    Cheers,

    Jim

I would prefer a tax on all of the hot air that Rush Limbaugh puts out.

Actually, now that you mention it.. I suggested to one of my sons that their science project this year should be to measure how much CO2 is breathed out of the average human a day.. and then calculate how much CO2 humans put into the air per year... thus adding to the greenhouse effect...

This could actually be something blown plumb out of porportion. But don't think that it hasn't been though about. It don't make any sense a'tol' but describe sensable ethics anyway when it comes to the powers that be.

That would be like taxing a politician every time they open their mouth.

What kind of idiot comes up with the concept that respiration=pollution?

That's what bothers me most about this "gas tax."

OH, it won't be long coming...

CO2 is one of the major gasses we have to control saythe "global warming" whiners...

Also, everytime you open a carbonated drink you are releasing CO2 into the atmosphere....

One of the medications that my dad needs for his lungs is being taken off the market because it is in an aerosol form, and it is ruining the ozone.

Global warming whiners haven't got the sense it takes to pass gas!

I'm just glad this thread is still going.

Yesterday, I thought it was just going to float away into the ether. :D

Yes, but to MASK or suppress it's effects would pass the stink on to our children and grandchildren.
