Teacher lost her baby today....

Please remember Stephanie and her husband and family.

This was the proverbial "first child". She, at 4 months, was having a 3-D ultrasound today and his parents and her parents were all there to witness the miracle of life.

The doctor said the baby was dead. He said it appeared to be some chromosomal abnormality and a hemotomia. They would know more later. He induced labor about 5 hours ago and the baby still hasn't come.

This is so hard and has really torn the faculty up today.

Stephanie and her sister AND her co-teacher all got pregnant at the same time. So she will have to go through the pain of watching both her sister and co-teacher having babies.

Just pray for peace and for the deceased child to deliver soon.

As of 7:30 this morning, she still has not delivered nor dilated at all.

She has named the baby Gracelynn and her mother and sister (who is also 4 months pregnant) are trying to make some arrangements for a graveside service.

I just want her to "feel" like a mother in 10 days on Mother's Day. She IS a mother. Her baby is just with Christ. I just pray that any feelings of failure or inadequacy leave her. I don't know what it's like to lose a baby or even have a baby, but I just hurt for her.

And it's a boy. I wish they hadn't told them the gender until it delivered. They had already named what they thought was her, but it's a baby boy.
