amd why couldn't they? New quarterback, new plan, o-line fell apart.

As my football coachy hubby said...Colts have bigger problems that just Manning being injured. The whole team is in sad shape....same with Broncos. Tebow is a leader, he has charisma, if he cannot make the Broncos better, the year is gone anyway.

Right. In one game, they fell apart.

The Colts had problems last year. The point is not that they have no problems. The point is that the primary difference between last year and this year is that Peyton played last year and he's not this year. The Colts have lost 5 games by 10 points or less. With Peyton, the Colts win at least 3 of those games and probably all 5.

When the former GM of a pro football team that went to the Super Bowl says that a great QB makes every part of the team better, I believe him. If your football coach hubby doesn't see that Peyton by himself makes the Colts better, I don't know what to tell you.

Well he did win big against the Raiders. He has just some growing up and catching up to do. Wished that people would cut this kid some slack.

Yep, a good win against the dreaded raiders.....he is learning and growing, and he is a good team leader.

It has gotten to the point that the Raiders can make any QB look good. And I have been a Raiders fan for 30 years!!! :tear:

My only problem is he isn't an NFL QB. He can not hold up running for over a 100 yards each game. The average life of an NFL RB is 3.5 years, because of all the punishing hits they take. If he doesn't transform himself into a pocket passer, he will not last long. No one's body can hold up taking all those hits.

I remember several Hall of Fame qbacks that had rough starts.....I am not worried about Tim - He is a leader, and he will be a star.

The Broncos play calling is what was horrible in that game. Period. end of sentence.

The QB play is what was horrible in that game. Tebow went 6-22 for 60 yards and a pick. You're not living in reality if you blame 6 for 22 on play calling. The Donkeys attempted 47 runs and 22 passes yesterday, which is very similar to the run/pass ratios that they had during their winning streak, but today, after Tebow looked horrendous, the play calling is what caused it.

Yes, he's a leader and he's already a star. Only one of these has anything to do with being a Super Bowl winning QB. Tebow has to progress as a QB very, very quickly this week, or the Steelers are going to crush the Broncos next week. If the Broncos can only muster 3 points against the 11th ranked Chiefs defense, what are they going to be able to do against the 1st ranked Steelers defense?

A variety of sports columnists agree....asking for Fox to put together
a game plan that shows he has faith in Tebow....and those same sports
columnists agree with me that the play calling showed lack of confidence
in Tebow and didn't let him pass enough.

The "pick" was the desperate last play attempt....many "Hail Mary" plays
end as either a game winner - or - an interception.

    You're missing the point.

What, exactly, has Tebow done that shows that Fox should have more faith in him as a passer? How does completing 45% of his passes show that Fox should have more faith in him passing?

There's a good reason that there's a lack of confidence in his ability to pass the ball. When you have a QB who doesn't complete half of his passes, the answer is not to throw more passes.

From the linked article from the Bleacher Report of all places:

Extremely tough? I'm not sure the author of this article understands these words. Extremely tough are not words I would use to describe a defense ranked 20th.

Tebow completed his usual 47% of passes - he's such a horrible QB! LOL. I guess no one notices that he averaged over 30 yards per completion, threw 2 TDs, ran for another, 0 INTs, and a 125 passer rating. ALL AGAINST THE NO. 1 DEFENSE IN THE NFL. LOL to all the naysayers.
