Technical BB Question

    I wasn't sure where to post this, so forgive me if this isn't the right place.

    My question is about replying with quotes. Sometimes when I reply with quotes, the quote shows up in bold-face. Other times, it shows up normally,with the little "QB" things around it.

    I'm wondering if it's doing this because I deleted part of the quote? Often I don't want to quote an entire post, just part of one.

    I'm probably extremely dense, but if someone could explain to me what I'm doing wrong,I'd be grateful.

    Elizabeth, figure that the {} in my post are square brackets...

    {quote}{QB}text{/QB}{/quote}

    should work.

    You need tags to be nested and you need not to have the /tag missing.

    I don't know whether {QB}{/QB} works without being inside {QUOTE}{/QUOTE}. If not you can go with {b}{/b} which always works, for bold.

    Then use "preview post" before "add reply" if you want to see whether it's doing what you want, or not.

    This board is the only one I have been to where quotes within quotes works, for what it's worth.

    Thanks a bunch,AITB! I just used your suggestions on the "Most Romantic Movies" thread, and it worked perfectly.

    Also, I never thought about the "Preview Post" option...I don't usually do that, but it's a good idea.
