Ted Haggard in Trouble

    That is the very reason why humility is so important. It is about time that Christians get serious with God and realize that he will not be mocked by our plans and methods as though it could be done just as well without him. Where are the praying people who entreat God? Today too many preachers are fun loving relationship oriented Starbucks kind of pastors looking at numbers instead of how many disciples are being made who are reproducing themselves in the lives of others.

    Many Christian leaders have been accused of numerous things over the years. Some by by people in their own congregation and some from the outside.

    What does a minister's alledged indiscretion have to do with the election? That is, unless you equate the church with the Republican party as many right wing Christians do.

    I believe the prostitute said that he revealed this because of Haggard's advocacy of the gay marriage ban.

    I don't think it was as much that, as it was the fact that he was very politically active and a big voice against same-sex marriage. He was fighting hard for the amendment to pass.

    But I believe they intentionally overstate the possible impact of this disclosure on the election.

    Personally, I had never heard of Haggard before this mess.
