I had to take a Participation in Government class in order to graduate. I dreaded it, but I'm really glad I took it.

I think it's kind of sad that people aren't getting involved in it. I think it's important to know what's happening. I watched local debates for the first time and was surprised by the issues that WEREN'T brought up, that should have been. It's a scary thought.

As a teen (which wasn't long ago), I was quite active in politics...in fact, I majored in Social Science Education so I could teach high school Government/Economics classes, which I have. I think it is great to see young people active in the political process. Stay involved!

I'm definitely a republican, through and through.

The democratic party is way too liberal for me. [IMG]

I'm registered Republican, but I don't vote on the party line. I lean Rep because of personal convictions.. I can't support a party(Dems) that advocates abortions, homosexuality, atheism, etc. Plus I think Hilary Clinton is evil and that Tom Daschle is just the biggest idiot to ever walk the face of the earth.

I'm very glad to see teens involved in politics, or at the very least, taking an interest in politics. Granted, some teens can vote, but those aren't generally who I think of when I think of "teens," you know?

When I was 17, I registered as a Democrat, but wised up and became a Libertarian in my early 20s. ;)

In Georgia, we now have open primaries, which basically means you do not have to register as a member of a party in order to vote. I almost always vote Republican, but do support some Democrats such as one of our Georgia Senators, Zell Miller.

  13. I heard of Zell Miller the other night. He supports the President, right?

On most issues, yes. He was very supportive of the war in Iraq and the president's tax cuts.
