    Well, now that my tree roots are cleared, [IMG] I'm going to the beauty shop for a little color job. Would take me far longer at home than to just go.
    And it wouldn't look like very much then. :eek:
    Going to pharmacy for allergy prescription refill,
    to grocery store for pumpkin pie and jello salad supplies for tomorrow.

    Only normal house and laundry issues. Dinner is at my sister-in-law's house tomorrow.
    Oh, yes, I have to call the insurance company about an automobile insurance issue.

    Today--finshing up with the girl's school...I,also,have been working on the next 3 weeks of lesson plans for school...to get us through until Christmas. I'm glad to have that done!!!! :D

    I'm taking my oldest daughter to the doctor,she has had an on-going stuffy nose and sore throat...but no fever,so I don't know what is wrong with her. It comes and goes...feels better some days and then really sick the next. I'm going to finally take her to the doctor to see if we can figure out what is going on.

    Later today-going to prepare the make ahead foods....the chocolate layered dessert,the pumpkin pie,broccolli and rice casserole,dinner theatre green beans,and the fruit.Then tomorrow I can stick it in the oven and we are ready to go. Thank goodness for 2 refrigerators!

    Tomorrow I will be making the Turkey,sweet potatoes,and corn(which is mom's homemeade off the cob creamed corn that I will just thaw out and heat). Mom's making the dressing,gravy,and cranberry sauce.

    Tonight,after the girls are in bed,husband and I will clean a little...mop tile floors,dust mop hardwoods,clean kitchen,and make sure all is ready. [IMG]

    Then I will fall into bed for a few hours of sleep.... [IMG]

    Holidays are fun,but busy. We are going to my parent's for Christmas dinner! That will give me a break! [IMG]

    Molly, it sounds like either allergies or a sinus infection. That drainage will seem to dry up and then can sure irritate your throat!

    BTW... How is YOUR lump from the bad tooth?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So, I've changed sheets, scrubbed the kitchen floor, done laundry, gotten out the things for pies, and some odd jobs and now am considering a short nap. Hubby just left for work.
    I have been on Clindamycin for almost 2 weeks...the bumps is still there,but not as painful...,the pain behind my right eye is STILL there and very annoying. We think this must be referred pain from the pressure. My husband thinks I need to go ahead and get the apicoectomy,but we are going to wait it out a little longer. I will finish the antibiotics today...so we will see if it flares up again.
    I'm trying to *rejoice* in all things,but it is bothering me greatly...and of course,I worry about it being something more serious since I have so much head pain.
    Thanks for asking.
    Ug... I took 2 days of Keflex from my main dentist and then the full round of Clindamycin. After that ended the endodontist put me on Amoxicillin for 14 days. I ended up quite sick from antibiotic associated diarrhea and the lump took almost a month to go away but I had virtually no pain.
    I sure hope you feel much better soon!
    I think I have accomplished all I can today.
    Wish I had two refrigerators. I used to have one in the garage. Thought I didn't need it. Got rid of it. That was a mistake. Now I need it.
    Isn't that just like anything we don't use, then get rid of it?
    I had three bottles of liquid paper. We were tossing stuff when we moved. I thought I haven't used that stuff in years. Threw it away....Needed it the very next day.
    I also decided where the Christmas tree will go.
    I think I will only have to move one piece of furniture. The electrical outlets are the problem.
    Hope you all have a great day tomorrow. I decided to have a sit down dinner (at lunch time). Granddaughters can help me serve. We usually have it buffet style, but I thought it might be fun for a change. I have the tables set and ready.
    Have a great Thanksgiving.
    Just got back from the doctor...he thinks it is allergies(my daughter)so we are going to try Flonase and clarinex for a while to see if it gets better....if it doesn't,we will go back and get checked for mono(blood test). The idea of that gives my sweet 11 year old the heevie jeevies....I don't blame her...I don't like blood test either.
    Going to get busy in the kitchen now!
    Thankful,I love having sit down dinners,too! That will be so nice! I'm sure you will make it very special. Enjoy the day!
    Diane,thanks for continuing to pray for me and ask about me! I've got to get better soon!!!!
    I cannot believe how fast the time goes by!! Today is gorgeous! About 84 and SUNNY- my favorite kind of weather!! Today I need to go to the commissary-ugh- for last minute dinner items. I cannot afford to shop off-post, milk alone is around 6.00 a gallon. I guess I could get a lot more accomplished if I got off the computer!! have a great afternoon [IMG]
    I worked from about 7:30 this morning till almost 4:00 this afternoon...my boss let me off early!!
    Tonight, I have made a cherry pie, and set the table for tomorrow. I had to get out my silver service (belonged to my grandmother) and my good china (my mom's from when she and dad got married). Have washed all of it, and will finish setting the table shortly. Will make a green bean casserole (my brother's favorite) tomorrow morning. Blueberry Cake is just waiting to be cut!! (We're having Blueberry Cake and Cherry Pie...sounds more like 4th of July colors! Oh well...none of us are too crazy about pumpkin pie, if you can believe that!!) [IMG]
    Other than that, I haven't done much since I've been home!! :D My brother and sil are bringing the turkey and dressing...and his homemade rolls!! I'm doing everything else, but it's pretty much all done!! And it's still early!! Yea!! [IMG]
    Today was kinda fun. This morning I watched kids for a friend and we had fun playing with hot wheels. :D Then the older one wanted to play chess, then we all decided hot wheels were more fun. LOL
    Then I went home and a friend of my girls came over for a while, then I sent her home so we could go out and pick up a pizza for lunch and she saw us walking back in with the pizza and came running up for lunch and stayed. Then I sent her home and she came back again so I just let her stay and play. We watched a movie and then I cleaned house while the kids played, played on the computer again a while, then after she went home tonight we went to the store and picked up some stuff for breakfast tomorrow and I got the Thanksgiving duck ready to roast, chinese style. One day we'll just have turkey and stuffing like normal people. [IMG]
    After that I was practicing for the Christmas special for church choir and the kids decided to play hide and seek all around me and I never can resist that game so we played that until it was time for the girls to brush their teeth and get ready for bed. Did the bedtime ritual and now they're in their rooms reading and chatting getting ready to fall asleep, but they're all excited that tomorrow is Thanksgiving so I don't think they'll fall asleep for a bit. [IMG]
    Oh, almost forgot the fun phone call I got! Some woman called, and I answered the phone like any normal person would and she started ranting at her husband that "this phone number is NOT your friend Jim's!" and he started yelling at her to hand over the phone so I just hung up. So apparently some guy is walking around with my phone number or something??? ROFL Whatever the case, he certainly never called me! :eek:
    Molly, the Clarinex made Nick nervous and also caused some minor urinary discomfort so if she begins to feel jumpy you'll know. Zyrtec has been a real blessing for our Nick! Glad it's not anything more serious!
    I sure will keep praying.....
    Well, my day was a good one. My husband was home today, so that was a treat for us. I got up this morning, hoping to be up a while before the girls woke up but it didn't work out that way. I fixed waffles, but they wanted leftover tacos, like their Daddy was having. So they had that and I had leftover chicken tetrazini for breakfast. We watched JoJo's Circus and Stanley, then got dressed and went to Wal-Mart to finish getting my brother's Christmas package together. (He is in Iraq.) We ate out at McAllister's then stopped by Outback to get my secret pal at church a gift certificate for her anniversary present. (Its not really her anniversary, but the girl that was giving to her doesnt come to church anymore, and I had been giving to that girl, so I got her secret pal. FOllowin' me? I have missed all her special events, and we reveal in 3 weeks, so every Sunday she is getting a gift until we reveal!)
    Anyway, after stopping at the post office, we came home and played a while. Hubby cooked a ham and my 2 year old and I took it with some green beans, potato salad, rolls, and miniature peanut butter pies to a lady in our church who had a procedure done today. Then we came home and played some more, ate our supper (same thing) and watched Survivor. After that, I tackled the 2 year old's room, where I had been storing some old clothes, a stroller, and some other junk. It now looks like a great little girl's room again. Then I put the kiddos to bed and here I sit, about to go fix my nightly cup of hot tea.
    Well we had just a perfect day here.
    Hubby and I awoke early and had some quiet time just lying in bed together and then we made our pies. Every 'dish' for our dinner got ready at exactly the same time. Jim took Nick to see a kids movie this afternoon and I took a 3 hour nap! I called our grown kids to check on their days and even the two sick grandbabies are feeling much better and they had lovely days.
    I hope you all had wonderful days of rest and thanksgiving and that all your tummies are not 'too' stuffed!
    Love,
    Diane
    My day was really different than most Thanksgivings I have had in the past, usually we would go to my Mom's for dinner but my daughter took her chemo treatment yesterday so she and her family will be staying at my house for a few days untill she gets to feeling better. Our prayers were answered this time because she has not been as sick with this treatment.
    My grandson Travis (8 yr. old) had to stay inside all day because of the weather so it has been kind of wild :eek: but wonderful.
    It also was my birthday and my nice husband [IMG] helped do some house cleaning so that helped out a lot.
    We had a nice quiet day, too. Since m brother is in IRaq, my mother didn't feel like having Thanksgiving this year. My husband's parents had their own plans that didn't include us, so we cooked a turkey roast, and the fixin's just four our two toddler girls and us. It was actually very nice. We turned out the lights and ate by candlelight. IT was raining outside, so that made it even more fun. Then a friend got word that my mom and grandma had not come like they had originally planned, and she insisted that we come to their evening family get-together. Most of them go to our church. So we came home full and played for a while before putting the girls to bed. Then as I went to the guestroom to get something, a MOUSE :eek: scurried across the floor. I yelled for my husband and he and the dog won the battle for our home. I have never seen a mouse in my home before!! So now I can't sleep. Hubby is going to the hospital for a church member's surgery early in the a.m. and he's coming home armed with sticky paper and poison for the attick. We figure sticky papare is the safest with munchkins around. So now I am sitting here with my cup of hot tea. It was a good day, minus the mousy!!
    BM,I'm sorry about your daughter,please keep us updated on her.
    Tater tot,ewwww! I do not like mice either....we had some in our garage right after we moved into our house...but,I have not had any in our home before! I hope you get 'em!
    Yesterday was a nice day. My parents came over,we visited,had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner,took some pictures,etc. My girls read their 1st Thanksgiving stories that we worked on in school.
    After my parents left,we played a few games,had hot cocoa,and drew names for Christmas. We draw names within our family,so that the children do not have to buy a gift for everyone....just one gift. They love it! We keep it a secret until Christmas Eve.
    My husband took the big girls out shopping for a young boy we are buying Christmas for...they came back with a great Tonka truck,nice flannel shirt,and a soft teddy bear. We want to get him a coat and a few more toys. They,also,came home with Santa Claus 2 on DVD....so we made popcorn and all cuddled up in the family room to watch the movie. It was a good day.
    Today,our plans are to put up the tree in the family room and do the snow village display. Our tradition is to drink eggnog,listen to Christmas music while decorating the tree....so,we will do that this afternoon.
    This is so much fun catching up on your days. I feel that I have been traveling around to all your homes and visiting with your families.
    GinaL I love how firm you are with your children's friends. ;) The games you play are really fun, but I am worried about the poor guy whose wife probably called the wrong number. He is probably in the dog house or worse. [IMG]
    Diane Sounds like a lovely day with your guys.
    BM Good to see you. I haven't seen you in a while. Glad that your daughter didn't get so sick this time. I know you had fun with your
    grandson.
    Lea Oh, four girls. What a blessing. My four granddaughters were here yesterday. You will have to tall us more about them and what you do together.
    Tatertot How every lovely. Candlelight with your family. Very, very special.
    After reading your post about your activities the day before Thanksgiving, I was exhausted, too exhausted to even respond. [IMG]
    We watch Survivor! I could not believe that they kicked off Rupert, my favorite person on the show, and what about that John. He will probably win, he is so conniving. The women had a chance to get rid of him and didn't. I would have voted him out the first chance I got.
    We are fighting the mouse problem also. When we moved, we found one dead in the middle of the kitchen floor. Don't know if we moved him with the refrig and he starved to death or he died of a heart attack because he had a new family [IMG]
    We have one that steals the bait off the trap. Maybe we will get the sticky stuff. I can just see your husband armed with all kinds of stuff. [IMG]
    Molly Your day sounded like a picture book story. What wonderful memories you are making. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Thank you all for sharing these special times.
