Only in hateful ignorance could you possibly think this poll has any merit at all. I feel bad for such petulant men.

I get drug tested at work all the time.

From the DOT pamphlet on their drug testing policy:

Explain to me how it can be fair and prudent for me to be tested at random in order to work but it is not fair in order for someone to not work?

If you have money for drugs you have money for food.

And if you have no money for either, should the government help you?

Temporarily maybe.......... So what is your plan to get those people off government support? What is the government doing to relieve them of the need for government support? If there is no plan for the latter the former does not need to be in place.

When facts get twisted and misrepresented, like you did in the OP, does that help, or hurt the poor ?

The facts are fine, they just do not meet your prejudiced opinion and thus you reject them. But we know what you think of the poor and those in need from past postings.

And also, as usual, you avoid a real answer and try to divert the thread.

Grow up BroC, get your big boy pants on and answer questions honestly.

    Thanks in advance.

If you believe your OP represents an accurate count of users on welfare, then you're stupider than I thought.

You're not worth talking to about it.

Lies hurt the poor, Crabby. If you truly cared, you wouldn't just spend your time misrepresenting those you hate.

Bro. C. if you do a bit of research you will find the statistics hold up in other states. Sorry they do not fit your image of the poor.

We can all see by your answer where the hate resides and who holds it.

Oh, and don't whine and cry if you think someone calls you a name. I see you simply cannot post without doing that to others. Grow up, boy.

Crabby, the facts in the OP are seriously compromised. The entire premise is wiped away by the fact that only those who answered "YES" were tested.

No doubt, now that that has been established, you want to change the subject back to conservatives hating the poor. well like you say…"start another thread on it". This thread is about welfare recipients on drugs.

What kind of demon haunts you, Crabby, that you have to attack us on this board ? Why is every post of yours a lie, designed only to hurt people ?

Try doing some research BroC. You will find the numbers stand up. Of course this will not be to your liking, so you will continue to deny. Here is a bit of research; you can find much more on the Internet and it is almost universal in reporting that drug testing is a bad idea.

By the way, should the state give drug tests to everyone renewing their drivers license?

You brought up the word hate. And we all know your attitude toward others with your numerous posts and your name calling. Grow up.\

I follow Christ and his teachings. Are you calling him a demon?

Not going into your pit today, Crabby. Call me anything you want to. I'm sure most everyone else here would call me an idiot to engage you further.

I would never call you an idiot. I know the meaning of the word.

Some more reading for you. Also you can easily see from the graphics below and on the next post that in every state it has been a waste of money. Saving money is one of the big selling points of politicians.

Our View: Drug testing for welfare benefits misses the point
If the goals are to cut drug addiction and save money, these programs are the wrong policy.

It's right there in your post:

"Safety-Sensitive employees are subject to drug testing."

I'd consider taking care of children "safety sensitive", wouldn't you?

Sure, if you want the government to tell you how to raise your kids. You want that?

You think drug testing is equivilent to the government telling you how to raise your kids?

Gee IDK, under this plan if you have kids and you want government assistance they're already telling you to get a drug test. What's next?

    So, if I don't have kids, I don't need a drug test?

Do you not see this as an invasion of privacy?

Isn't that the way it always works. If you want government out of your life, don't take the money.

I don't consider it any more an invasion of privacy than I do my employer requiring me to take a drug test on demand to continue to get a paycheck. If I fail, no more checks.

    Seems fair to me.
