Terrorists have attacked the popular western tourist site of Bali Indonesia again, 30 plus westerners are confirmed dead, Several Australians and Britons amongst them, I dont have figures yet of any U.S casualties.

Yet what I would like to say, is that I got really angry when I heard the Indonesian President stating on about how they are going to really come down hard on Terrorism and there is pressure on for these people to be caught.

What a complete load of rubbish, and a total insult to anyone concerned!

When they caught the mastermind of the first group of bombings, he was given a paltry 4 years jail and then on their recent independance day celebrations that sentance was halved.

The Indonesian Government is totally and utterly corrupt. They could not give a stuff about doing anything about terrorism. Their concern is pandering to anyone that has wealth and getting the benefits of that.

Indonesia is not now, nor has ever done enough to stamp out terrorism, and the best thing that anyone could do is a, not holiday there, and b, not support their government by buying products made in Indonesia. I think that a total boycott of Indonesian products is required until they pull their finger out and genuinley do something to stop terrorism, starting with the absolute shame of the way that they allow Christians to be treated in that nation.

Yes I am really annoyed at the Indonesian Government right now!

Me, too. And I remember photos of the police and the mastermind of the first bombings laughing it up together when he was in custody.

I agree with you 100%. The Indonesian government is a joke. Of course, the US government is all for free trade with Indonesia, so the only power we the people have is where we spend our money and how we spend our money.

Solution: Don't travel to Indonesia and don't buy cheap clothes and other goods made there. We are just helping to fund terrorism when we do. I always check labels of where products are from before I buy, and i.e., I can do without that cute dress or tee-shirt from Fashion Bug when the label clearly says they were made in Indonesia.

the police found 4 un-exploded bombs... there were 3 that exploded... seems like pretty easy to plant bombs, eh?

Foreknowledge of the Bali Terror Bombings?

Queensland's Premier Peter Beattie couldn't resist a joke. He leaned towards the microphone and said:

"We might announce a coup. Men and women of Australia...". (Canberra Summit Press Conference, 27 September 2005).

The October 1st Bali bombing occurred a few days after a special meeting of The Council of Australian Governments in Canberra, during which the State premiers agreed to the adoption of far-reaching antiterrorist measures. The day following the Canberra Summit, the Australian media warned, based on reliable sources, that a terrorist attack was looming.

Two distinct sources, Indonesia late August and Australia, late September, point to an "imminent" terror attack.
