    I'm a little surprised this thread is still going. It really is my experience though regarding the three types of people. I'd like everyone to know that I'm not from Texas, I don't consider myself a Calvinist, and I kinda like the ESV.

    No...really? I would never have guessed that with your unkind insinuation that Calvinists are ashamed of telling others who they are. [IMG]

    Hi Orvie! Have we known each other more than two minutes yet?

    Im not a Texan (raised a Californian though, and that's the REAL West), not a Calvinist OR Arminian, but I am KJVO.

    Other than that, I don't get this thread at all. Is that a good thing, or am I just dense right now?

    Joseph,
    Since you are a Calvinist, does that mean Arkansas is a county of Texas? That would make Bill and George from the same state.

    I am stunned that this thread has not attracted a swarm of Texans to stand up for their country.

    We tell you we're from Texas because we cannot keep silent. If someone were cured of blindness, had won the lottery, or had seen a host of angels, don't you think he'd say so?

    How much more, then, someone who is a native Texan?

    Although, I did live in Texas for a short time, I am elated to say that I am not from there.

    God has brought me here to Texas via the
    Air Force and we are thinking about retiring here.

    I am a KJVP and not a Calvinist...

    It is true what they say about Texas: It is a whole other country...

    I have never been to Texas, and I really don't care to go, I am a Calvinist (at least according to most people I am) and I am deffinetly not KJVO.

    Hey Joseph you crack me up man, thanks for the laugh.

    Texans-its in their blood.
    Calvinists-they can't help it; it's pre-ordained.
    KJVO-they figure you might as well hear the truth.

    Everything's bigger in Texas-that's why my wife is from Iowa.

    After reading this, IMO, inane thread for three pages, I've come to four possible contusions, -er I mean conclusions.

    A. I've chosen to become a "Calvinist", which would seem to be a contradiction - :confused: ;

    B. I was foreordained to become an "Arminian", see above, for I'm still - :confused: ;

    C. I was preordained and chose simultaneously to become neither of the above - :eek: ;

    D. The ones Orvie asks about aren't particularly swift - :rolleyes: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Is there such a animal as a KJVO Calvinist? I don't think I have met one?

    There's one who's a member here, unless he's bailed out....Will Kinney, who goes by Brandplucked here, and on several other boards...and simply by his name on s'm'others. He hasn't posted here for awhile cuz his KJVO myth AND his calvinism have been so soundly hammered here.

    Texan, not Calvinist, and don't really care for the KJV.

    I'm next door to Texas, I'm a Biblicist I'm KJV preferred. I have a book about Texas, and somewhere in that great land there a wax museum I remember from when I was 8. I also went to the Alamo. Nice place to visit.

    I've been to Texas several times. Native Texans are some of the nicest folk I've met. I've been in every state except 4.
    Although the promised land is NC. AMEN!

    Ah, but I've lived in Louisiana all my life! When ever you come back to my town after a vacation or something it always smells like a septic tank! [IMG]
