I wonder who or what most people give thanks to on Thanksgiving Day? Most people proudly say that they are "self-made men" or women. Yet Scripture says that "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:17

But we know Who to thank...

    Give Thanks To God

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor. 15:57

    God's Saints Give Thanks

"Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness." Ps. 30:4

    In Jesus' Name Give Thanks

"Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" Eph. 5:20

Thanksgiving Is The Will Of God

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thes. 5:18

    Give Thanks Unto God Forever

"To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever." Ps. 30:12

    Give Thanks Among The People

"Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people.1 Chron. 16:8

Give Thanks For It Is A Good Thing

"IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD,
AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH:
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night." Ps. 92:1-2

"Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:" Ps. 106:1

Give Thanks For God Is Worthy

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of His knowledge by us in every place." 2 Cor. 2:24

    Thank God For Answered Prayer

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" Col. 4:2

Let our thanksgiving be every day unto the One that is worthy.

I participate in Thanksgiving 365 days out of the year. When I have turkey, ham, and chicken dressin'---I give thanks---when it ain't nothin' for lunch except Vienna Sausages and Saltines---I give thanks

But it isn't just for meal time---with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God----thanksgiving never ceases!!!

And while we sit around stuffing ourselves on Thanksgiving Day, let us be mindful and pause & reflect and say a prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being tortured and murdered all across the globe. Yes, we have much to be thankful for - not just food on our tables.
