There are 7 NT passages which give …
Examples of deadly habitual sins that will keep Christians out of heaven.

Christians are provided with WARNINGS, and those who are
committing these sins habitually are called
    “unrighteous” (1 Cor 6:9)
“do not be deceived” (1 Cor 6:9)
“let no one deceive you with empty words” (Eph 5:6)
“let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints” (Eph 5:3)
“the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience” (Col 3:6)

Christians habitually doing these sins will NOT inherit the kingdom of God:
    1 Cor 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners
will inherit the kingdom of God.
    Gal 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish
    ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;
of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past,
that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
    Eph 5:3-6
But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you,
as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are
not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person,
nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God
comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Christians habitually doing these sins will NOT enter the New Jerusalem:
    Rev 21:27
But there shall by no means enter it (the New Jerusalem, v.10 ) anything that defiles,
or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
    Rev 22:14-15
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life,
and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and
sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Christians habitually doing these sins will incur the wrath of God:
    Col 3:5-6
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:
fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,

Christians habitually doing these sins will go into the lake of fire:
    Rev 21:7-8
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,
    which is the second death.

Yes, they WERE ... @ their time of being born again.

    News Flash! ...
BACs are warned in the NT to NOT return to der former selves and sins ... or else!
Simple example: BACs who are still habitual liars @ their deaths are SOL.

    End of News Flash

    Wow.

I sure am glad that we are saved, permanently, because of our FAITH IN CHRIST, and NOT because of our law keeping, or our inability to keep them.

    Thank God it is...

...by grace that we are saved, through faith.

That is the problem with the SDA cult. They do not understand Christianity. The verses you present are not a list of sins that send people to hell. People go to hell for dying in their sins without Jesus Christ. Not habitually doing those sins is what happens when one has faith in Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is one's guide.

The way your mind works is to read that verse and say, "gee, I have a problem being a drunkard and coveting. Think I will stop doing that for a ticket to heaven. And once I have that ticket, better never do that again or my salvation is gone." What is left out of that is Jesus Christ, just like your denomination.

The SDA/Pentecostal movement far exceeds the RCC as a threat to Christianity. You do nothing but leave a trail of destruction. Notice I did not say SDA members are lost.

That has nothing to do with salvation.

When someone is saved they are eternally saved. If they fall away they can lose thier assurance, thiere wittness, thier confidence, God will chastise them etc, etc, etc. God may even call them home prematurally.

But they will never lose salvation. Saved means saved eternally. period

Do the righteous use acronyms with 4-letter words in them?

Regardless a "Christian" who is unrepentant is not a Christian. You can't lose what you never had. On the other hand, "All who the Father gives me will come to me."

It has everything to do with salvation. Your position in effect says that a person can be saved without faith. That is not true or Biblical.

I have come to see and believe that OSAS is one of the most harmful doctrines ever concocted by man. Now I'm ready to received the "slings and arrows", but notice I have kept this about the doctrine and not made it personal to anyone. But I've witnessed how this subject can turn that way.

That is not true. You are misunderstanding.

Men are justified by FAITH IN CHRIST, and that is faith in Christ ALONE!

At the moment a man chooses Christ, he is regenerated, sealed , and placed in Christ, permanently.

Praise the Lord!!! That is why we are (((secure.))). WE do NOT keep ourselves. CHRIST is keeping us.

If a person is "in Christ", Biblically speaking, do they "know Him?"

Uh, JonathanD did not say that, I did. And I contend that OSAS is not a biblical doctrine but a dangerous concoction of men, namely one man, John Calvin.

Yes, Christ keeps us but not by force. He keeps us as long as we have faith, but we can lose that faith, or maybe more accurately, willfully reject it.

Why would someone willfully reject God who they have an intimate relationship with, who has paid the price for their sin and guaranteed them eternal life? What would make a person do this?

And if you are in Christ, and you "know Him", are you "Known of Him" (that is to say, known by Him?)

    Thomas...

Sorry about the mix-up. Its late and I am tired. I will respond to this post and then I gotta go sleep.

I agree with you about Calvin. He was a murderer and an evil man, imo.

I consider a GREAT parts of his theology to be ungodly to the core. Lots of it is just pure nonsense. Completly redicuous

    Gotta sleep

    God bless.

Why did Lucifer rebel against God in heaven? Why did Adam rebel in the Garden?

Why would someone willfully reject God? Any number of reasons: pride, anger, rebellion, or even suffering.

No problem. Sometimes I think half of our existence is a mixed-up state.
