Let's make this a tad easier by qualifying this to say ...

We are talking about BACs who ...
do NOT have great personal relationship with Jesus, and have NOT really heard His voice, etc.
i.e. have NOT been 100% convinced that personal experience always lines up with the word.
I have the blue ... and could never ever be convinced to leave the Truth of all of this!

Lots of reasons for this BAC to discount his/her spiritual experiences, e.g.
-- researching Bible history led to no longer trusting it
-- personal tragedy (or experience) led to no longer trusting in God to protect, bless, etc.
-- preferring to back into habitual sin

Actually, John made it cleasr they were only professing to be saved, not really saved!

Most who 'fall away" would be of this class!

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
    1 John 2:19 esv

Much of this comes from not understanding the Bible, as in

Falling away from grace not speaking to loss of salvation, but one trying to keep the law to be saved

Shipwreaked faith those who became 'worldly' not loss of salvation

Will not commit sin actually refers to a person saved will not habilutually, as a continual lifestyle, keep on sinning as before being saved
that checks to see if saved or not, not losing if saved!

NO verse/passage shows us a genuine believer loseing salvation!

I have a handy-dandy list just for da ones like you ...

    Heb 6:4-8
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift,
and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God
and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance,
since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful
    for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;
but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

    Heb 10:26-27
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,
and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

    Heb 10:29-31
Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled
the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing,
and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
And again, “The LORD will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

    Heb 12:14
Pursue … holiness, without which no one will see the Lord ...
Side note: Paul says BACs are holy, but here he encourages people to pursue it.

    James 5:19-20
Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way
will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

    2 Pet 2:20-22
For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome,
the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
But it has happened to them according to the true proverb:
“A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

    Rev 21:7-8
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters,
and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death. (Revelation 21:7-8)
Jesus says we must be overcomers just like He overcame ...
Rev 3:21 ... To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Jesus: "For those who have eyes, let him see!"

I'm getting tired, plus I prefer to do stuff in "7"s ...
... may I stop now, or should I list another group of 7?

Okay, I'll return on the 10th after a well-deserved rest.

The problem with you here on listing all these verses, is that they actually opposse what you are stating, as you quote them, but don't know and understand what they mean!

You got your verses, and I got mine. I could start with a passage from Hebrews. There are others.

Do you believe man is merely a puppet, that God gave man no freedom to choose? If so, how do you reconcile that with a loving God?

No, rather that man is a sinner, that we are born unable to come to God by ourselves, as our human nature is to stay in the darkness and hide from God, see Adam in the garden!

And regardless if a caslvinist or non cal...

Truth still is that jesus promised to NEVER cast out ANY who come unto him!

Yes, I think most everything has been said about this subject that could possibly be said.

    All without distinction...yes

All without exception? Rob Bell thinks so, but I think he's wrong.

As men of the book, it would seem that our definition of love should come from the Scripture. I reject the notion that freedom must be contra-causal or libertarian to be genuine. I think it's a false dichotomy to say we either have libertarian freedom or we are puppets.

That said, where is the proof text that shows that love demands freedom (libertarian freedom particularly)?

Don't know how you are defining "libertarian" freedom.

Let me put this to you: Show me how love is possible where choice is not.

I further contend that if love is not freely given, it is not love at all. Coerced love is no love at all.

    Libertarian freedom states that:

"An agent is free with respect to a given action at a given time if at that time it is within the agent's power to perform the action and also in the agent's power to refrain from the action."-William Hasker

The other questions will be better addressed after I know whether or not you accept that view of freedom.

I would generally accept it, but in the spiritual area I would qualify it, based on what I believe about man's will after the fall, which I believe is in a weakened state but still free.

Does God get the blame for lack of "free will choice" or do we?
