I listen regularly to a radio program called The American View.

It is a Biblically based political show and they have an active website and forum.

John Lofton (formally from The Conservative Digest) is the host of the show along with Michael Peroutka.

If they are typical "American" we are in trouble.

They certainly not the typical Americans. They have a high regard for the constitution and law and order as well as christian principle. Certainly not typical today.

I would assume this quote refers to Gates and Buffet?

And I suppose this quote refers to Peroutka and Lofton?

The name is a bit misleading. Instead of "The American View" it would better be "An American View" considering the very narrow persceptive they cover.

I signed up and joined the forum but it seems kinda rinky-dink. This guy "The General" apparently is the only guy who gets to start threads on the articles. Seems a little cultish for me.

That is one of the main points...that there was a specific American View at one time.
There are many different views today.

It is a different type of forum that this.
There are two main sections, the General Duscussions which anybody can post new threads, sort of like this forum. There is also the article disussions and a new thread is automatically posted everytime a new article is made.
"The General" is simply an automation. not an actual person.

The radio show is really interesting and they have a podcast that you can subscribe to as well.

And when was that? I think they are either mistaken or deceptive.

    There always were.

Just give them a chance to explain
    Here is the first program

If you don't agree with it, then fine but it is a little easier to understand if you hear them tell it.

That got me too at first.
It is a relatively new forum so it is still kinda small but it is growing. I have noticed considerable growth in the last couple of months.
