The Amplified Bible

    Is there anybody here who uses the Amplified Bible? What are your opinions of it, would you recommend it?

    I own and have read the AMP-NT. I didn't find it to be a smooth read (the 'expansions' interupt the flow and are distracting). I don't have much use for it since many other sources (commentary, lexicons, dictionaries) fulfill the same functions only better.

    Think based upon the 1901 ASV, so would have been better off just staying ewith that text by itself!

    not a bad study bible, just more of a running commentary on the text, so think better served using a good version and use a bible dictionary...
