Sure I agree. He grew up with Muslims in Indonesia, but when his mother divorced for the second time, she sent him home to her folks. His real father was always absent in his life. His main mentor in Hawaii was Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying member of the communist party. His mother was a supporter of the Indonesian dictator Sukarno and was opposed to economic improvement in Indonesia. His real father was an alcoholic and a socialist. His paternal grandfather was affiliated with the Mau Mau. His maternal grandparents were uber liberals. He called his grandmother a typical white person--kinda tough thing to say about your own family.
