The problem is that if you engage him thinking he is sincere then you get sucked into his little game. And it is a game.

I think you described a lot of the posters here actually. I thought the News section might be a bit different.

Besides, he's showing more and more lately that he's not just a liberal, he's a communist, just like his "president." He shouldn't even be allowed on here.

Why would someone's economic beliefs exclude someone from an internet forum?

It's not his economic beliefs I'm suggesting would exclude him.

    OK. I misunderstood you then.

Seemed like you were saying his (supposed?) communism is why he shouldn't be here.

His liberalism? That he likes the president?

I'm being serious. I haven't seen any heretical statements made by him (I think), so I'm curious why you feel he should be banned.

RLB, there are some here who really do not like me. I think these are the following reason:

    1. I take very seriously the teachings of Christ on how we are to treat others.
    2. I take very seriously the passage in Matthew on the Last Judgement.
    3. I dare to tell them I was a Republican until the GOP instituted the Southern Policy, which was a racist pollicy.
    4. I dare to say another reason I left the GOP was that politics and corporate profits became more important to them than people.
    5. I have shown why I am not a Communist or Socialist. But that means nothing to these folk. I really believe the terms have lost all meaning as they use them. It only means they disagree with me.
    6. I personally think an important role of government is to take care of the young, the ill and the elderly.
    7. I am against abortion as well as capital punishment. There are some who cannot stand this stance.

Please notice how almost no one has addressed the OP. There are questions that have been asked in this thread that I would happily answer if they started a new thread.

I would appreciate someone actually discussing, rationally, the OP, that basically shows the GOP still follows the policy of always criticizing Obama, regardless of what he does or how he does it.

Uh huh. If that is indeed the case, I would probably be criticized for similar things too, at least 1-5. Particularly 1 - I believe Jesus taught us to be non-violent.

I am undecided on 6, as I believe that should be the church's job, not the state's, but on the other hand I'm not sure if the state is prohibited either. I'm also undecided on part of 7 since I'm not sure about capital punishment.

Well.... Obama pretty much deserves criticism for pretty much everything he's tried to do. This trade really was a bad deal and should be criticized.

I agree with you on what Jesus taught. When I was young I would not have agreed. But that was when I still had my culture and politics mixed up with my religious beliefs. Now my religious beliefs and understand influence my politics.

I would agree with you if churches were during their job in this area. However few are and so it is left to the state. I would much rather my tax dollars went to help people than to kill them.

The final straw for me was when it was published that up to 10% of all people on death row are innocent of the crime that put them there. Until there is a system whereby guilt is absolutely proven for all, none should die.

After all, life in prison is a death sentence.

I agree, there are areas where he should be criticized. However, that is not the topic of this thread. Might be an interesting one to start.

This thread is about the continued GOP opposition to absolutely everything he does or does not do.

If he does nothing he is criticized.
If he does something he is criticized.

Do not let him fool ya about that one. He fully supports PP and he does not believe life begins until you are born.

No so Rev, again you pull out an old and still untrue line. I do not support their abortion services. However I do support their services:

    1. screening for breast cancer
    2. screening for cervical cancer
    3. tests concerning Endometriosis
    4. Pap and HPV tests
    5. Ovarian cancer tests
I see nothing wrong in helping women, especially poor women in these areas.

I would appreciate your being more truthful in the future. Thanks in advance.

If you truly did not support the slaughter of unborn children you should not support them at all.

And let how many women die from cancer and other illnesses that could have been avoided?

How many such deaths are too many Rev.?

So you do not care that innocent women will die from lack of such screening services?

Crab - would you then say you tend to agree with Poncho on the issue above?

The topic of this thread was established by you, and now you attempt to derail it. I can only conclude that your claims regarding the original topic cannot be backed up and so you choose to move on to another subject. Perhaps you'd like to contact the moderators, given they are so helpful to you, and close the thread?
