    1. Does any pastor own this set from Warren Weirsbe?

    2. It includes all his BE works.

    3. I am thinking about purchasing the set, but I am looking for some objective reviews first.

I have a couple of them. I never use them. Give me time to look at them and I'll let you know something in a day or two.

I used some of those paper back ones years ago and they were okay as most commentaries are - there is good/bad in all. I would class them a little more toward the devotional side.

Kind of like reading sermons in my mind.

If the books are cheap they would probably give you illustration material and ideas for sermons.

I'm reminded of Ray Stedman sermons when I think of the Wiersbe writing BUT THEN THAT was years ago and the memory fadeth.

I have them and use them occasionally. I agree they are along the lines of devotional commentaries. They have some valueable information in them, but I would not put them at the top of my list.

    1. I went ahead and bought them from CBD at about $21 for two Hardcover volumes of the entire BE series of the NT.

    2. I agree that they are not at the highly scholarly level, but I've already gleaned some good insights from them.

    Thanks for the input.
