The Biblical Doctrine of Election: It is Specific

    I agree that in nearly 100% of the time, the meaning of a word must be defined by its context.

    How about the word 'Elect' -- not 'Election' for a moment.

    In Christ's case, He needed no saving since He is the Savior.He is the Elect one from which all His elect ones originate.

    The "elect angels" have no need of salvation.And the angels who fell with Satan can't obtain salvation.

    So in the case of Christ Himself and the elect angels there is no salvific aspect.
