It is looking like it will be a busy couple weeks for us. This weekend is the Siloam Springs Dogwood Festival and my wife is also going to a breast cancer walk/fundraiser. I think it is the Race For The Cure.

Next weekend we are planning to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO with some friends. They have 3 girls ages 6, 4, and 3, with another one on the way due next month. Our boys are ages 7 & 4 and they all get along really well usually, so it should be very fun (and probably exhausting).

I think the following weekend is Mother's Day, so if you start with Easter last weekend that will be 4 full weekends in a row. I am getting exhausted just thinking about it. [IMG]

I know what you mean Rod. My granddaughter is graduating and I thought all we had to do was go to graduation. I learned Monday that we are going to a breakfast at her church and baccalaureate at another church and this is all on one Sunday. Then there are two concerts that our son is playing in. We are trying to get him moved and get ready for our trip. All in one month.

Jim, You are not going to believe this [IMG] My husband just called and said that according to his "Dilbert" calendar that today is "administrators professional day", and further, that the memos he was receiving also stated that today is administrators professional day and they were going out to the Steak and Ale for lunch.

Times are really changing, arent' they?

I agree it is great to see new and old faces in the coffee shop. Great place, isn't it?

Well its good to see everyone back at the coffee shop. I sent blackbird an email, but have not heard anything yet.

Well I will be doing work two days a week visiting nursing home, and shut-ins, and hospital, for the church. I am excited about it because I love doing that. Course I love talking so...piece of cake. The people will probably tell me to shut up.

I think you will do great at that Sherrie! Many people that are in nursing homes or shut-ins don't have family around to visit so they get very lonely. They need someone who is willing to sit and talk awhile who really cares about them. I know you will do a great job.

I noticed you were brave enough to post in the Calvinism/Arminianism forum. That is the very question I wanted to ask many times, but I can't tolerate a lot of the attitudes in that forum. I still don't think I am either one fully and the more I hear the different sides explained the more confused I become. Sometimes I don't think the ones posting the information truly understand it all either. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as we know we are saved.

That's great Sherrie. It takes a special person to be able to visit nursing homes and hospitals.

I stay out of the Calvinism/Arminianism forum. It sounds like a lot of double talk to me and I don't think it really matters which one I am. I know what I believe. I am just satisfied to be labeled a Christian and a Baptist. Doesn't matter to me if I believe in Calvinism or Arminianism.

I have read the explanations and I still don't understand which is which and which one I might be.

Did you figure out which one you are Sherrie?

Thankful, I'm with you about the calvinism/arminianism debate...I posted there once and told what I believe, and I asked them which one I am. Would you believe that half said I'm calvinist, and the other half said I'm arminian? LOL. I say I'm just a born-again child of God.

I posted right before I signed off yesterday, and can you believe there have been 2 pages of posts since that?

Took Haven to have her check up today. Jordan and Haven did their lab work. Haven cried more than Lauren did last week. Really surprised me.

We didn't get the Flonase perscription filled yet. We'll take care of that on shopping day/payday.

I had to pay a co-payment for Jordan and Haven $15.00 each. They didn't charge me anything for Lauren last week....weird. Had to write a check out of my personal account, the joint accout is depleated. I'll have to reimburse myself on pay day. We had to pay for an appraisal on our house on Tuesday, $325.00. That's why our account is empty. We're trying to get our house refinanced. We pay about $1,300 a month now for our two bedroom. (which believe it or not is low for California)

What is this movie your talking about Betty? Holes? Was it good? I'm wondering if my kids would like it.

Consider the great prayer rope in heaven being pulled long and steadily that we may ring the bell in heaven with these needs......

    Cheers,

Ok....so now....that is some forum. I really do read along. But sometimes the threads will vary a lot from the original topic. I think I understand the basic of what each side thinks...But I think it is much more complicated than I know. I think that on the topics, the posters tend to vary from the original questions. But I think they are having fun. Nobody really gets hurt, and there is some sort of bond with each of them, even tho they bicker. They love it. And if you read and listen to them, you can actually begin to pick something up. I chuckle at them a lot. Just like little boys.

All my granchildren liked the movie. There is a little scary part showing some kind of lizards. It didn't bother the six year old. It came out here on Friday and I think the fifth grade teachers are taking their classes to see it. It is a Walt Disney Movie.

Father God in heaven, i lift up Brother Blackbird
and especially his unspoken request. Please
lead him unto the clear light of day. May any
constuct in his vicinity that might try
to dim the light of Christ that works through
    him be seen as folly to those who observe it;
the manisfestations of evil be brought to ruin.
And help him have a nice day. Thank you, Sir,
for the consideration of this request. Amen.
