I think a better diquise for Blackbird would be if he didn't talk. That's a joke, in case it just read as meanness. What do you look like anyway Blackbird? [IMG]

Sherrie, Is this someone you see regularly? I'm sure he'll ask you again, just be extra friendly to him, and hint if he makes you wait too long. That's me minding my own business......not! [IMG]

But seriously, how fun? Sherrie's dating. te he, te he. Wish I lived closer so I could help you decide what to wear. ;)

    Laurenda

Brother Ed, I just read your post. My father had a malignant melanoma on his face when I was around 11 years old. He had it removed and they had to graft skin from somewhere to patch it. So, skin cancer is something that we are careful about in our family. They say that malignant melanoma's are very rarely survived, but Dad had the surgery and no serious problems since then. PTL. ;) Thank you for praying for me, I appreciate that. Hey maybe that's why I've been doing so well lately. :D

LOL! Faye's Bakery is just down the street from me. But you won't be comfortable there. Its strictly drive up only.

I recommend the Airways Cafe in the cottonbelt. Its right on the airstrip. It a little country cafe. You could always strike up conversation, and no one would suspect anything.

But seriously....I am not "going out". I was asked two times to dinner. I said no. Now I was thinking maybe I should have said yes. But this may be a moment thing, and he may not ask again.

But I will let you know, for sure if he does. and if you come rsr...make sure Blackbird wears that robe. :D

Shoot, Sherrie, I was going to pick the Airways Cafe, but I didn't know if it was suitable for such a romantic occasion. I know the local airport cafe, and it's not exactly cozy. Besides, it's way out there and folks might talk ...

Ya'll remember that episode where Ernest T. Bass was tryin' to spark Miss Darlene Darlin with his "woos and ways!!" He'd recite those little two line poems and stuff????!!!

Mrs. Wisdom Seeker(aka Laurenda)--why, I can dress to look just like Ernest T. Bass if thats alright with everyone else!! "Best rock thrower in the county, I am, too!!"

Sherrie is gonna be soooooo mad at ole Blackbird--but if I were that guy--I'd be a fool for not askin' again! By the way!!!! It wouldn't take much to get his phone and address #'s--you guys have Blackbird's, don't ya'll??

    Talk to ya'll later!

If you are now ready to start dating,
it would be all right to ask him something
like "Could I answer "yes" now to a dinner
    invitation?".

You can dress like Harpo Marx and I wouldn't know it was a disquise. See your picture on your profile? No, neither do I. [IMG] Who on earth is Ernest T. Bass anyway? If you're going to make a point...would it be too much to ask, that you make one that I didn't have to be you to understand? [IMG]

I love to tease you...because you tease back. [IMG]

That's OK, Sherrie. We think a lunch engagement would be appropriate for a first meeting. Even better if it has a good chicken-fried steak.

Hey, Blackbird, maybe we can go out to Lake Wappapello and wet a line.

Laurenda, apparently you are not a connoisseur of Andy Griffin. Ernest T. was an intermittent character famous for throwing rocks and making Barney's life difficult. Barney's judgement ("He's a nut") is pretty much right on.

Guess, I'm not really, it was a little tame for my taste. I've watched a few re-runs when I was a little girl, my favorite episode is the one about Aunt Bea making pickles. I was more into I love Lucy, Star Trek, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, I dream of Jeanie. Although I did like the spin off Gomer Pile. :D

What are you doing up at this hour. I't's almost 1:00am here, and it's what 3:00am there? I'm not used to seeing anyone up at this hour on the board. I still have insomnia. Haven't been able to fall asleep at a decent hour in over a week I think it is now. [IMG]

Ok...who drank the last cup of coffee and did not make a fresh Pot? :D

So how is everyone doing today? Whats on the agenda? 65-70F today.

I am walking now. 1 mile in morning, 1 mile afternoon. Anyone else walking or jogging? We have a park with a walking track. 2 laps is a mile. I could really do 3 but I am not pushing it. That blacktop hurts my legs. Guess I better get a better shoe.

I will be going soon as it warms up a little. Remember I do not like cold. About an hour from now I will be ready to go.

Alright coffee's done! Got to get me a cup.

Oh...always use the restroom before you walk. They have new restrooms at the Park...but I do not think I will use them.

The coffee shop in Tamworth is called The Corner Store. It is a general store which also has a large cofee bar, consisting of two opposing counters (for debates) and two stalls.

The regulars meet there for a cuppa,,, but most importantly to discuss whatever topic is current. It is the gossip centre. Coffee is 50 cents, and many have their own coffee mugs.

I think every village has their favourite meeting shop, and this is country life at its best.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So Tamworth is just a hop, skip and jump from Napanee? That's interesting; there's a Goodyear tire plant there, and many managers from the local plant have worked there. In fact, the last two plant managers both spent time at Napanee.

While we're talking about coffee, I will pass on this little tidbit:

A few years ago I regularly went camping with a troop whose leaders were heavy coffee drinkers; the first thing taken care of in setting up camp was to put the coffee pot on.

They went to summer camp one year and noticed that, after a few days, the coffee had a strange flavor. As it turns out, they had been using the prepackage coffee grounds wrapped in a filter (very handy), but when they went to make coffee they had neglected to take out the old packages.

I hope your coffee is better than that, Jim. I usually drink instant (will you make me sit at a table by myself?) or the 15-cent stuff at work.
