    I would call them parties to a bilateral contract in which they agreed to provide labor in return for financial compensation.

    The employer in such a contract is free to terminate the relationship when it no longer suits his needs (so long as it is in accordance with the contract) just as the employee is free to terminate the relationship with his employer when it no longer suits his needs.

    I would agree that to freely enter into such an agreement and then complaining about it would constitute whining.

    That would be one way to describe them. Another way to describe them is that they represent households that no longer have disposable income to put back into the economy.

    Frankly, I don't understand the title of this post "The company you keep......"





    unless its meant to be a disparaging remark against a candidate.

    Oh, but that right!

    People don't study the facts or the voting record or the stability or life experiences or the values of the candidates. People pick their set of friends and then follow the group....... like the title suggests, or attribute to the candidate the false representations of others..... whether its 'good' or 'bad'.

    Obama and McCain have folks campaigning for them and we are just plain stupid and distracted if we concern ourselves with everything these people say without listening to the candidates: We'll hear enough garbage and lies if we just listen to what they say and compare it with what they've done:

    I don't know you, Revmitchell, and perhaps I am under the incorrect assumption that you possess a basic understanding of the concept of debate. Typically, one can more effectively persuade others by actually referencing the topic of discussion, rather than introducing a completely unrelated subject in the form of some perceived answer.

    Answer: What? I never once mentioned Obama in this discussion. As a matter of fact, Obama is not mentioned in posts 1-10. This is an attempt at misdirection - start asking questions about an unrelated topic in an attempt to avoid answering questions dealing with the topic at hand.
