"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." (Romans 3:10-12)

Arminian or Calvinist, it must be admitted that the natural man does not understand spiritual things or seek God. This doctrine did not originate with Calvin, it is taught in the word of God. Paul wrote, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Cor. 2:14)

Likewise, there is no excuse for "the spiritual man" who fails to understand the things of Spirit!

    Thank you!

What a wonderful realization that it is God, behaving in accordance with His Grace, that allow us come to faith in Him, thus He finds us having such faith and saves us while in His grace.

Indeed, whether Calvinists or Arminians are sinners and under God's wrath. We are unable to respond to God's saving grace. It is God initiated the giving of His Son that we might have life eeverlasting... YES I AGREE with you Pastor Larry [IMG]
