So, who are you for, KY? Rand Paul? And what did you think about the Bevin win?

Yeah, watch out for that one. Notice that he shut his mouth completely when the subject of immigration was brought up in that debate, he has the calculating devious mind the other two lack. But you got Rubio's number, he's the one that claimed the seatbelt law in Florida would never become intrusive and then it did.

We could file for bankruptcy and start over.

...if the U.S. defaulted on its debt....

Such a scenario would play well within the scheme of dispy doomsday dementia, don't you think? Economic collapse, starvation, war, THE Antichrist, THE great tribulation, Armageddon, etc..

It's all gonna happen anyway, right? These are probably the end times we're living in now, right? So, no matter, don't worry about sound judgment, go ahead and vote for the politician most likely to advance the self fulfilling scheme of dispy doomsday dementia. It's all gonna happen anyway, right?

So you're not planning on being 'raptured' out of the coming grief, but prepping to survive it? I suppose that makes you to be a 'post tribber' at the very least. I was born a prepper.

Properly stored dried rice will keep for decades, not so with legumes. Dried beans older than 3-4 years are very difficult to get cooked. Best to keep the dried beans rotated or cook/can them, or, they're a very reliable and productive crop to grow yourself and can/have fresh each season.

Oh, I suppose that famine unrelated to the end times is still a possibility.

The problem I see with bankruptcy is that the pols would just start borrowing again at higher rates once they were able.

Yes according to the Scripture these things will happen (Luke 17 among many others).

The destruction of the entire world and/or local areas has happened before and recorded in scripture - Noah knew that, so did Lot.
Wide scale destruction has happened in recent history - WWII - 20 million in total - approximately 1/4 of a million in 3 days (Nagasaki, Hiroshima) and that by man's hand not God's.

Now Putin has threatened to use thermonuclear weapons thousands of time more powerful that the A-Bomb.

Personally, I haven't fully decided yet for whom to vote.
I have learned that Rand Paul is pro-life:

    http://www.paul.senate.gov/about-rand/issues/advocating-for-sanctity-of-life

and I am also currently and thoroughly researching his personal political platform and voting record.

But IMO, only God Himself can stop mankind from ultimate self-destruction.

Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

I intend to hinder that self destruction to the best of my ability.

However (BIG HOWEVER) the day (if it happens in my lifetime ) that radical Islam comes to my house to remove my head or the heads of any of my family members I fully intend to defend them with deadly force if necessary.

My political view has really nothing to do with "dispy doomsday dementia" but human nature and the apparent future it collectively is choosing.

So how does bilking folks out of their money jibe with your religion?

First of all, I don't have or need a "religion", I have a Savior.

Secondly, I don't know how that "jibes" with Him but as soon as He has those who extorted me, give it back I 'll let you know after I give Him the tithe..

Third this started out with a satirical statement that I made.
    No sense of humor ky?

So you don't consider yourself an adherent to the religion of Jesus Christ?

No, again, I don't need a religion accept for the practice of pure religion in James :

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The practice of the pure religion of Jesus Christ, the scope of which entails far more than the James passage you cite, is precisely what I'm referring to.

What was it He said, "Blessed are the warmongers"?

Or, "Thou shalt not steal"? Was it not Christ, the founder of our religion, that said that?
