    Eph 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

The Gospel of your Salvation or the Gospel of the Salvation of you !

Those who have been saved by Christ, and regenerated by the Spirit, God sends them the Gospel of their Salvation, this is because they are saved, for God does not deceive , for God does not send a People the Word of their Salvation [ Acts 13:26], and yet that person or persons be in a lost state ! For quite frankly, the Gospel is hid to them that are Lost [ 2 Cor 4:3]

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

The second hid is in the greek a Perfect Tense, It has been hid from them once and for all in the past with effects up into the present, God never sends them the Gospel as a word of their Salvation, because they are Lost forever !

The Gospel comes to those who are being saved in the present tense Per 1 Cor 1:18

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish[lost] foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Saved here is in the present tense, and passive voice here, they are being saved, they are passive !

The Gospel comes to the saved individual and they hear it [spiritually] and Trust and or Believe. Its not a decision time at all, but they are Enlightened of an spiritual reality ! See Lk 2:32 !

Those who teach Eph 1:13 as one having to meet a condition to get saved, such as faith, are perverting the scriptures and Truth of God to their own destruction !

Unless we all come and call on to Jesus, we will not be saved. Jesus is the One who saves and He (Jesus) is the One who comes in (literally responds to our call) to our lives when we come to Him in the reality of His own existence.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

When God sends one the Gospel of their Salvation, this means they are in a saved state when He sends them the Gospel of their Salvation. How could the Gospel be the Gospel of your salvation, the good news of your salvation, if when it comes to you, you are lost ?

What utter foolishness! The essence of this eisgetical nonsense is that the saved are the only ones who need the gospel while the lost will never be saved! What utter foolishness.

The above text says no such things. This is like saying the elect never need to be elected to salvation because they are already saved OR the elect never need to be redeemed because they are the elect! What utter foolishness!

The perfect tense describes the condition of the blind up to the point of salvation because the gospel is the power of God to open the blind eyes and deaf ears as Christ tells Paul:

Acts 26:17 .....unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

That is exactly what Paul says in the very context of the verse you have perverted, distorted, and polluted by your eisgetical interpretation:

2 Cor. 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said he came to seek and to save them which are LOST

Lu 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The gospel is to be preached to them who are LOST not to them who are already saved!

Thats not True, the eyes are opened by New Birth, so are the Ears. When one is born again, they as a result of that Birth spiritually are given spiritual ears and spiritual eyes. The Gospel does not regenerate anyone. You promote all kind of blasphemies.

Jesus says, when the Gospel seed falls upon good ground, it bringeth forth fruit ! Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

It would be foolish to suppose that the seed is what made the ground good, any fool knows better than that !

I have read your studied confusion for a long time without responding...I must tell you this....If I were to attempt to destroy Calvinist teaching....I believe that I would challenge you to public debate, and simply cede all of my allotted time to you. Seriously, you do more harm to your positions than good.

I have one question I would like you to answer...you perpetually claim that to show faith is "works" Salvation....What Scriptural evidence or verses would you use to claim that faith is a work?

A common mistake for novices in the Word is to take parables to far and try to find application in every detail.

The Apostles preached Christ death and resurrection as means to have God save us, but thay ALL asked/commanded that sinners come to faith in the Christ they spoke of, as ALL people MUST be born again, have a second birth to be saved!

Do you deny that one must be reborn again?

Correct, and by His Death, He saved them ! When Christ sent out His Disciples to preach the Gospel of their Salvation to them, they would be in a saved state by Regeneration Titus 3:5

    according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which is the fruit of His Death Jn 12:24

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

    1 Pet 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Your problem along with all false religionists, is that you do not believe that Christ's Death ALONE saved those He died for ! Yes, the Spirit does regenerate those Christ died for, but thats because its a fruit and effect of Christ's Death accomplishment. I have stated this over and over again !

So they are no longer lost when the Gospel comes to them.

But the reprobate, the Gospel is hid from them Matt 11:25

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

The Gospel, the milk of the word is revealed to new born babes 1 Pet 2:2

2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

They became New Born babes here 1 Pet 1:23

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Being born again by the Word of God, who Is Jesus Christ, by His Resurrection 1 Pet 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

    Or it could read thusly:

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of The Word of God from the dead,

Jesus Christ is the Word of God Rev 19:13

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

God regenerates us at the time of faith placed in jesus!

NOT regenerated as babies, and then faith in jesus years later!

Its the Lord regenerates us at same time that faith in jesus is done, as flip side of same coin, He enables/quickens us when we hear the Gospel, and faith is placed in jesus!

Your big problem is that put the salvation proces into seperate neat compartments...

truth is that its one process...

jesus died on behalf of sinners such as me, and God enables/quickens me when I hear the gospel to be able to receive Jesus by faith...

    So its an entire process!

The Truth is Jesus Himself and we have to come to Him for us to be saved. Works will not save us. It is the Lord Jesus who will save us when we come and call on to HIm in the reality of His existence.

It simply means that Jesus is real and alive on His own unseen to us so we have to face Him in that way and not by what many are doing today - knowing Jesus by and through the bible and their own understanding.

You teach a works salvation, contingent upon the act of the sinner, thats not of God. Paul tells the The Ephesian believers that they were saved before they believed, He plainly states that they believed the Gospel of your Salvation, not if you call upon the Lord.

    Eph 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

False! Ephesians 2:1 demands they existed in a state of SPIRITUAL DEATH prior to being quickened. They were children of disobedence PRIOR to being quickened. They were by nature children of wrath PRIOR to being quickened:

    1 ¶ And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Notice the bold underscored aspects in the above verses prove that this was descriptive of their PHYSICAL LIFE on earth PRIOR to being quickened.

They were not born into this world quickened, saved, redeemed, believers, justified, glorified, or any such thing but they were born into this world and lived in this world as willful spiritual dead children of disobedience who lived and existed in an unregenated NATURE as children of wrath.

Furthermore, regeneration occurred in connection with "faith" as they were "saved THROUGH faith" - Eph. 2:8. You are teaching they were saved WITHOUT faith. IN context the term "saved" refers to regeneration (v. 5).

Hence, the elect did not enter this world as "saved" but as "lost". Jesus would never have to say that he came to "SEEK" and to "SAVE" the lost if they were already found and saved as you falsely teach.

    SBM,
You go against the Word of God. You speak falseness then you use the very scripture that proves you speak falseness.

And you also were included in Christ WHEN you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. HAVING believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13.

Paul tells the Ephesians they were included WHEN THEY HEARD, but you say BEFORE they believed.

You even blatantly call another scripture untrue when you say “not if you call upon the Lord.”

Show one scripture that plainly states what you are saying. Show one scripture that says God saves you before you believe, or God causes you to believe.

You need to stop adding to the word.

Do you need glasses or do you intentionally pervert what others say???

I am repudiating what SBM says rather than affirming what he says! CAn't you read English?

I am denying that anyone is born into this world already saved! I am denying that one can be saved apart from faith. I am asserting that one is saved "THROUGH FAITH" not without faith. I am saying that one is regenerated WHEN they believe not BEFORE or AFTER they believe.
