    I don't listen to Rush anymore. Going on 6 or 7 years now. I don't need to be constantly reminded that the Clintons are bad news for America. :smilewinkgrin:

    Did I tell you I fix radios for a living ?

    In the morning, I have the choice between slice-my-wrists country, ManCow, Mike & Mike's ESPN show, Dr Laura, Mike Savage, or Rush. All of them get boring, after a while, but not Rush. I like him, and really don't feel like apologizing for it.

    If I had to listen to a constant diet of all the radio shows you mention (and I do listen to some of them at times), I might try to find a job where I could break radios for a living.

    I read through the posts and don't believe anyone brought up the point that Al Gore's motivation in pushing GW is MONEY!

    Here is an article about Al's financial gain through the carbon credit or offset scam - . (Anyone who purchases carbon credits is a fool - "A fool and his money are easily parted.") http://billhobbs.com/2007/02/more_on_gore.html

    Yesterday, Senator Inhofe asked some tough questions of Al. Unfortunately, his delivery was not as professional as it could have been. I think the impact would have been greater if he had not been as pushy. But Inhofe then presented Vice President Gore with the following "Personal Energy Ethics Pledge" found at the end of Gore's movie:

    As a believer (in GW):

    *that human-caused global warming is a moral, ethical, and spiritual issue affecting our survival;
    *that home energy use is a key component of overall energy use;
    *that reducing my fossil fuel-based home energy usage will lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions; and
    *that leaders on moral issues should lead by example;

    I pledge to consume no more energy for use in my residence than the average American household by March 21, 2008.”

    Gore refused to take the pledge. Well, duh!

    A little-known group based in his home state, the Tennessee Centre for Policy Research, had the idea of looking up Mr Gore's energy bills for his large home in the Belle Meade area of Nashville to see whether he practiced what he preached.

    The headline figures, released to the group under federal freedom of information rules, were striking. Last year the Gore household consumed 221,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity - more than 20 times the national annual average.

    His household consumption of energy rose between 2005 and 2006, the bills showed, from 16,200 kWh a month to 18,400 kWh last year. In addition, he spent on average $1,080 a month on natural gas. Combined, his electricity and gas bills reached almost $30,000.

    Gore's GW solutions could cost the U.S. an estimated 300 Billion dollars in taxes. (the Clintons imposed the 30 Billion tax increase during their terms - we loved that, didn't we?) Let's all vote for Gore for president so we can bring home even less net income!

    Maybe his tax increases could also help cover the pay raises politicians keep giving themselves.

    FTR, Al Gore is purchasing these "carbon offsets" from a company he owns a big chunk of, and is the Chairman of the company.

    Suspicious yet?? Still think he's a fool?? Sorry, he's no fool in this!

    Ya' know, it's kinda' like me first movin' my ten dollars from my right pocket to my left pocket, and then turning only the right pocket inside out, to show I am broke, hunh??

    Sorry Daffy! Didn't get your request until now. And I already got a prior demand a few hours ago on the 'sawbuck' in question. She's known as my bride. :love2::) And she didn't have to ask but once, either. So now I can turn both pockets inside out! Without worrying about 'littering'! :laugh:

    Ya' mean like [IMG]??

    I agree.

    In fact, for Washington DC, I believe that is one of three of the the official 'state animals'. The others two are the big, long-tailed [IMG] , and the [IMG] !

    .........and I say that I have indeed heard him make this claim. I said it before and I will say it again: I have heard him make this claim. I even waited to hear if he would amplify this point to say what you maintain, and he didn't. You can say that I didn't hear hiim say this, but you are wrong.

    Okay: when I get back to Richmond, we can play a game. I will endure the entire three hours of the show and we will catalog what is mentioned, and how many times. The time spent on attempts to debunk global warming is substantially higher than any other topic (with the obvious exception of the particular hot topic of the day - but that is true for every host), especially the ones you mention. Let's see if "he fights just as hard against" these topics.

    As for abortion being a "sacrament of the left," this is textbook Rush rhetoric. Abortion is not a sacrament, for most on the left, it's a nonissue. On the contrary, the two-issue voters are the one who make it such a huge topic. I have never voted for a candidate as a result of his or her stance on abortion, even when I was a right-wing-conservative Republican activist. The claim that this is some sort of sacrament is nothing more than a rallying cry for an election year in an attempt to lock up the votes of those two-issue voters. Have you ever wondered why abortion is still legal despite the GOP having control of the Senate, House, White House, and Supreme Court over much of the last 25 years?

    I am decidedly left leaning, and I abhor abortion. That is why I have never had one.

    Certainly not, especially given the fact that I don't feel you have administered a "cyber-whuppin" yet.

    BTW, there is a trail on Queen Anne's County in Maryland that is called the "Cross Island Trail Park" (just across the bridge from Annapolis). If any of you live near this area, this is a great trail to ride/walk/jog/skate. I wrapped up my business here early yesterday, and put in a good 20 miles of fat-tire riding yesterday. I ran out of daylight, and still got in 10 miles in the early evening. It's a little too congested to attempt a trip on a road bike, but was fine on my ATB (or even a hybrid for those of you who have one).

    God's Blessings,
    BiR

    Rush should continue any debunking of the fallacy of GW. And abortion is on its way to being overturned.

    We're still back-country skiing up here. I'm looking forward to this weekend, my friends from Massachusetts are here, & we're headed up to Big Mountain, for this weekend. Every year, Phyllis and I play in the resturaunt, on Saturday nite, for lift tickets the next day. Life is good.

    Could you give me your setlist? I am curious to see what you're playing these days.

    Have a great weekend, and do some skiing for me. It was a rather warm winter here, so no skiing for me.

    I don't think he spends too much time on it, but some time is required when the stakes are so high. If we end up accepting this foolishness as real, we will yet again be under these socialists thumbs. They never stop in their crusade to dominate man. They just lose out on one plane, and find another. Algore has found another.

    I'm always on the verge of leaving Rush once and for all. His predilection for kinky sex stories bothers me a lot.

    As said before, the cause of global warming is Rosie O'Donnell. Every time she opens her mouth an iceberg melts. Yes, global warming is man made, and that man is named Rosie O'Donnell.

    But don't you find his reaction disproportionate to the issue itself? Like I said: now that I am back in Richmond, I will try to listen to the entire show and will attempt to catalog the time he spends on the topic of global warming, relative to the topics Bro. Curtis mentioned.

    Rush is a hedonist, so you should expect that. He is consumed with the topic of sex. IMO, Sean Hannity is a complete and utter simpleton; however, to his credit he lives the life he extols.

    Regards,
    BiR
