The Holman Translation

    FTR, I do not use the HCSB on any regular basis at all, but I will occasionally cite it, when it makes something a bit clearer in the modern English language.

    Opinions are like armpits - everyone has 'em, but please keep them outta sight. And don't forget deoderant! ;)

    I got a holman given to me at the Founder's Conference (return to biblicist roots of SBC) this June and I enjoy it greatly. Find it excellent English, faithful to the Greek verbs, et al, and commend it.

    I use the ESV and find the two very similar.

    FTR, not all "holman" Bibles are of the HCSB version, or as the version is now titled, simply the CSB. B&H also publishes "Holman" Bibles that are KJV, NKJV, and RVR, as well.
