    For those who trust Him the LORD will fight for them and give them victory over all their enemies as promised ( Deuteronomy 20:1-4)! And there are all kinds of enemies but God’s children can be victorious over them if they will do what David always did before any battle? The bible records for our profit and instruction:
    Yes, the battle is the Lords but it must be fought and won through the method of His own choosing. In David’s case he used a sling shot and a few smooth stone to bring down the mighty Goliath of the Philistines. To add insult to insult, David didn’t have a sword and had to take Goliath’s sword to cut off his head.

    Sincerity and presumption are not a guarantee of anything including victory or salvation. We must inquire of the Lord as to what to do of any situation and then to proceed as He has instructed us to do. And then, and only then, is victory guaranteed! God’s word is unchanging:

    Define a miracle!

    It is what it will take from God to give victory!

    vic·to·ry n., pl. vic·to·ries. Abbr. V 1. Defeat of an enemy or opponent. 2. Success in a struggle against difficulties or an obstacle. 3. The state of having triumphed.

    Victory is defined quite well in Exodus 15:16

    Regarding victory...

    The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

    To me, any stronghold that is pulled down is a victory!

    For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

    Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

    Standing could be considered a pretty good accomplishment too.

    Galations 5:
    19
    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
    20
    Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
    21
    Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

    22
    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
    23
    Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
    24
    And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
    25
    If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
    26
    Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another

    2 Peter 3:
    15: And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you ;
    16: As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
    17: Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
    18: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

    2 Timothy 3:

    1: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
    2: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3: Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4: Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
    6: For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
    7: Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
    8: Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
    9: But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
    10: But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
    11: Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
    12: Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
    13: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
    14: But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    15: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
    16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
    17: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
