I haven't encountered the term "Freedom Readers" before. What does it actually mean? Does it refer to people who believe it is right to use absolutely any translation, including those made by the cults like the JW "New World Translation", and whichever "translations" you have in mind when you talk about versions that teach that God created other people after the flood, and that He created other people as wives for Adam's sons? If so, which translations do teach those things, and where? I ask, not to be contentious, but simply because I have looked at a number of more modern translations, without being able to find such teachings. Thank you.

Mr. Lamb, a "Freedom Reader" is one who uses any valid version(s) of God's word that he/she chooses, FREE of believing, or being bound to, any false man-made doctrines about his/her chosen version(s).

As for the "other people", that possibility is based upon the unmistakable fact that GOD HATES INCEST! To believe GOD once condoned incest between brother/sister or parent/child is same as believing He once condoned idol-worship.

Incest, as you call it, is clearly shown in the OT among God's chosen people. It only became taboo,,,,not illegal.... in recent times. Matter of fact, a brother and sister were recently married legally in England...They didn't know they were brother and sister at first, but married anyway once they learned the truth. Royalty intermarried for years, even as the head of the Church of England.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Thanks for that, robycop3.

I should explain that I was replying to Matt Wade's question: "Do all you "Freedom Readers" believe that God created other people after the flood and believe that God created other people to mate with Adam and Eve's sons?" It seemed to suggest that some bible translations actually state (or at least imply) that God created other people after the Flood, and other people to mate with Adam's sons. I was trying to find out if Matt had a particular translation in mind, because I could not think of one that teaches differently to the KJV on this matter.

    Thanks again.
