He is referring to the Lake of Fire. Beware. He believes that a saved person can go to Hell to suffer punishment for rewards lost at the judgement seat of Christ, as he believes that the reward a christian strives for is the ability to enter into the millenial kingdom at the second coming of Christ.

    Mivhelle,
Beware Beware -My Eye!- Don't mean to sound lik a parrot. Where did you address the topic of this thread?
The topic is HAVE YOU NOT READ!

Alright, Let me word the question differently:
Be truthful W/yourself, How many times have you read a verse where oul Lord, the bdiciples, or prohets BELIEF (ALONE) IN CHRIST'S SHED BLOOD SAVES US. ? AND (THEN IT SEEMS) the promise changes? Since GOD CANNOT LIE YOU MUST RIGHTLY DIVIDE. Of course, he that believes is saved. CONTEXT: This free gift is escaping The LOF. & being a child of the Father
I have to admit when I saw these seeming contradictions IT WAS @another fundemental Baptist Church. HEARING A SERMON ON SUNDAY, ON BELIEF = SALVATION &

SERMONS [continued^] The next sermon was, If you're a Whoremonger, audulterer, & so on...
You will go to hell b/c your not a "Real Christian"
LIES LIKE THAT ARE THE ONLY WAY 'CHURCHES' CAN EXPLAIN THEESE 'CONTRADICTIONS!
I use single quotes (') to indicate "It Seems to men,
O&/or a Lie" that can only be explained W/THE KINGDOM DOCTRINE, WRITTING A NEW BIBLE VERSION, &/OR FORMING A CULT!

In Christ, John Ps; Please think on the above things

all believers "called" to be "saints" yet not attaining a mature level of the "elect" in their physical lifetime will suffer loss in hell.

    some receiving few strips.
    some receiving many.

did anyone actually realize that all disciples called of jesus forsook him before they moved forward to become apostles?. james, john, peter, all of em....even paul.

as throughout history. everyone "called to be saints" begin building their doctrines on a house of sand (their own Religious philosophies).

It must fall before they can realize the true foundation is On Christ.

    everyone forsakes jesus.

    Bro.David,
THANKS 4 QUOTING THE SCRIPTURE, "SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM..." My brother, since noone else will use Scripture, Let me use your reply to make a point. Why are we commanded; " Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. If Jesus paid it all +nothing & -nothing how can we " SEEK" B/C SALVATION IN ETERNITY IS A GIFT THROUGH BELIEF ALONE? don't forget, MT. 6:33 INCLUDES, "...AND HIS RIGHTEOUSSNESS"
    In Christ; John
    Yes, AMEN! Beware! Beware!

The "troubling theology" of Millenial Exclusion only renders "salvation" ineffective if you don't divide the gift from the prize, resting and wrestling, if you don't rightly divide the word salvation. Salvation in of itself is not an effective cure for chastening. The most effectice cures for chastening are obedience, holiness, forgiveness, and mercy.

Yes, and if we are TRULY SAVED, it will come in this life, while we are still in the flesh. Not in the life to come. As when we leave this flesh our spirit must go somewhere, and that is either Hell or Remain with the Lord. Once the rapture takes place, all saved (those asleep in Christ, and those of His who are alive and remain at that time) will be resurrected and recieve their glorified bodies, to which is our hope, and THEN the rewards come. Anything that is not worthy of reward, will be burnt up. The scriptures say NOTHING WHATSOVER of the saved christian going to suffer punishment for loss of rewards in Hell (which is the spiritual abode for all who are eternally separated from God awaiting the GWT and the second death, to which is resurrection to eternal punishment), unless of course you are a Roman Catholic in belief - which is contrary to scriptural truth.

OK It's soul-winning night. You go up to the door and witness. How does John sinner get "Truly Saved"? And can he know absolutely right then that he is "truly" saved?

What if he has been living with his girlfriend? (Fornicating) Can he still be saved? Does he have to stop fornicating first? Will he automatically stop? What if he believes on Christ but fails to stop for a week or two, a month, a year? Is he still "truly" saved? What if he stops for 10 years then starts fornicating again? What if he is kicked out of his church? Was he not "truly" saved?

Catholics believe you are savd by faith plus works (Faith that automatically produces works). I do not. Faith is faith. Works is works.

Catholics believe that good works are evidence of "real" salvation. I believe good works are not "good" unless someone is already saved and then they are evidence of obedience.

Catholics have a complicated gospel that pre-requires a degree of holiness produced automatically to prove salvation.

I believe in a simple salvation plan (John 3:16) where my Father commands me to obey, empowers me to obey and promises to reward/chasten me if I obey/disobey. Then I get to chose.

One of us is indeed closer to the Roman church. And it is not me.

This really isn't for you to worry about, but to put in the hands and trust of the Lord after you share the truth with them. What is for you and all of us to worry about, is sharing the truth of what God has said about such things. If they do not heed what God has said overtime, and with compassion, then we are to separate from them. For not only our benefit, but theirs also.
YOu do not know what the Lord has planned or what the Lord knows about that individual concerning his walk. You only know what God has said about it and how to deal with it, you are to share that with them, and obey God to separate from them if they do not listen. However, you nor anyone else can tell for sure what God has in store for that person down the road. If that individual is truly saved, he will eventually repent and the Lord will chasten him to obediance. But, even if he doesn't, and he is indeed saved, his sins are still covered by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Only God knows his heart and his salvation, whether it is genuine or not. We can only observe, and respond according to God's commands, for not only our benefit, but theirs also. We are not to compromise.

michelle, i'm sorry but that was weak answer... come on you can do better than that! God holds us accountable, and we need to help others to be accountable as well.

This is not what the scriptures say. Go read the thread on biblical separation. There are the scriptural referrences I, and others gave regarding in part, this very thing. We are to warn them, and intreat them to obey. If not, we are to separate from them and leave it in the Lords hands.

    God has said this also:

    Revelation 22

    9. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
    10. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
    11. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
    12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
    13. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
    14. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
    15. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

I notice there is a position in certain religious circles to just separate from everyone quickly instead of working with people to bring them to repentence/restoration. For some, it is probably better that they do quickly separate from people who don't listen to them, especially when they are still weak in the faith. God can and will bring others to help those who He needs to deal with. Separating quickly doesn't help people become accountable, it leaves them with the perception of Christians as non caring, hateful people. It's a good thing missionaries don't act this way. It certainly doesn't help build the kingdom of God, where ever it is.

I agree. I know a guy that had to serve his neighbor for 20 years before he could talk seriously about salvation with him. Good thing he did not just cut and run - his neighbor might be in hell now if he had. Instead the neighbor got saved. Yahoo.

How can one separate from one they are not united with in the first place? Biblical separation has much to do with the churches. WE must go out into the world, and deal with others who are unsaved and bring them the gospel and the truth. We cannot, however become buddy buddy with these people, as it is not possible for two to walk together unless they be agreed.
