The lake of fire is certainly big enough for satan and evil, Revelation 20 says so! Once they are in the lake they are gone for all eternity. </font>
There's an evasive answer if i've ever heard one. did you just not understand the question wes? Reread it.

Exactly. This means that hell and the lake of fire were created big enough to hold not only the devil and his angels but all of the damned sinners. Yet hell was created before man fell. Curious?

Perhaps, but I don't believe that the lake of fire is a "holding tank", but rather a "garbage disposal incinerator".

Once the Final judgment has taken place, there is no reason for God to keep it going, because he as terminally and finally dealt with sin and evil, and all who have rejected Him. After the Revelation 20 Judgment, there is no future judgment spoken of in scripture. There will be no future death, no more sin to deal with, no more enemies of God to put asunder. It is finished! Read Revelation 21 and 22.

Hello Wes.
Nice of you to confirm the fact that annihilation is an invention concocted by those that want to wish the truth away.

Hello Dan.

I'm not up on this so I might make mistakes but on what I believe I see no reason why Hell was not created at the beginning before the fall of angels. Since I believe that God intended sin for His glory I see no reason why Hell should not be created before the fall. After all He hated Esau before the fall.
The Matthew 25:41 talks about Hell as being prepared not created? That the place existed but it was made ready after the fall of angels for the angels and presumably readied for man after the fall of man.

The angels were unfallen on the first day.
JOB 38:6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone-- 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

</font>
That doesn't change my opinion that after the FINAL judgment, there is no longer a reason for the lake of fire. There will not longer exist any evil, so what is there to punish in a lake of fire?

It will not be foremost on my mind to go down to the lake and watch evil and all the unbelievers squirm and writhe in torment. That is not even a pleasant thought in this life, so I'm pretty sure it will not be pleasant in the next life either. However, you may thrive on things like that, and maybe heaven is like Disneyland, with something for everyone!

Question: Will all of the people who are ever saved get a mansion in heaven or not? Or will that occupancy have to spill onto earth?

God will keep His promises whether He has to build another one or not. Everyone who was and is supposed to get a mansion will get one. An "occupancy" will not have to spill anywhere depending on how God wants to deal with it. A lot of new stuff will begin happening when we get to heaven. Not everything that is going to happen into eternity has been scripted, corriographed, documented and recorded in the bible you read. Heaven is a big place. Only the New Jerusalem that descends out of heaven has dimensions.

I think that is my point aimed at those who would limit God's salvation to those they refer to as "the elect". There is no limit on room in heaven or on the new earth or in the New Jerusalem, so why do some insist that there is a limit on God's salvation? If God is great enough to create uncountable stars, uncountable grains of sand, and "uncountable humans", he is great enough to make uncountable mansions for us who believe in him.

Hello Sonjeo nice to meet you.

Heaven is coming down to earth to stay for eternity.

Hello Wes.
...so what is there to punish in a lake of fire? Sinful man that's what. A small idea you have.
The fact that scripture testifies to the fact that the torment of the wicked continues day and night forever and ever will not change your opinion Wes because it is God that reveals His truths to us. You are welcome to your opinion.
...and maybe heaven is like Disneyland... I do hope not. Disney land has not got something for everyone but that is just me. Miserable Calvinist I am.
We are just messengers man not directors of God's will.
Romans 9:13 Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." 14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." 16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
It is God who decides who is saved and who must suffer not us.
Romans 9:16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
Because there is clear scriptural evidence to support a limit, not because of space but because God says so.
Matt 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
He will save His people
EPH 2:11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called "uncircumcised" by those who call themselves "the circumcision" (that done in the body by the hands of men)--
Do you remember when we gentiles we were called the uncircumcised?
Eph 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
Seperated from Christ! The gentiles were seperated from Christ and excluded from Israel without hope and without God in the world because we were foreigners to the covenants of the promise and therefore Hell bound. PS 147:19 He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. 20 He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws.

Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. Romans 9:18.
Since He is God He can do as He likes Wes. No point being God if you can't do as you like is there? But this is where your misrepresentation of us comes to be exposed for what it is.
REV 7:9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

He will need to look sharp because He is going to have a house full.

john.

Right, and he gives us the choice as to whether or not we want to be included. All it takes is our faith in Him.

Faith, that which we must have but cannot earn, or gain through works, etc.

I certainly agree with Rev 7:9, each and everyone in that great multitude has one thing in Common, no matter their origin, they each had faith in God. We all know that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God! We know they were gathered before God because each of them wanted to be...they had heard and believed, and in their belief became the children of God!
