I have become aware of a conspiracy, that is attacking the foundation of Christianity. This movement, is trying to destroy our confidence in God’s Word.

Some of you are probably waiting to the other shoe to drop. The title of this post is, “The only Bible that can be trusted”, and you are waiting for me to tell you what I think it is.

Well the truth is, the only Bible that can be trusted, is the “one” that you are using. Whether it is a KJV, NKJV, ASV, RSV, NASB, etc, isn’t important. For the most part, it doesn’t matter which translation you use(as long as it isn’t one of those adulterated versions, like the New World Translation). All that matters is that you believe that what you hold in your hand, is God’s Word.

Now for years, I have been a KJV man(and still am), but I have learned that the forces behind this attack upon God’s Word, could really care less, about the KJV. Their goal is to convince every one of us, that whatever Bible we are trusting, is somehow incomplete. And they have made great headway.

A lot of Christians have already been convinced, that they can’t trust their favorite Bible, but must use a verity of Bible’s, in order to even “come close” to what God’s Word, is suppose to be. -This is a lie!-

We may all have different opinions as to which translation is best, but that doesn’t matter right now. What matters is that we “take a stand”, for the translation of our choice.

I have found a few people on this site, that still have a Bible that they trust, and I am sure that there are more out there. But I have also found several people, who seem to have been duped into believing, that no single Bible can be trusted.
    --------------------------------------------------
What I am asking you to do, is to respond by “taking a stand” for your Bible.

Leave a response, to this post, simply naming the “one” Bible that you are trusting.

I believe that everyone who takes this stand, will be protecting themselves from this deception.

    Hope to hear from you.

Stilllearning, this a topic and type of thread that has been duplicated probably several times over on the BB, but I am not ashamed to stand and say, once again, that the
    KJV
Bible is the Book for me!

I fully trust whatever version I am holding in my hand... (except, like you say, the ones like the NWT)

I read the NLT .. and I fully trust it because it is the Word of God.
I read the NET , and I fully trust it because it is the Word of God.

I read the KJV ... and .... well you see where this is going...

I have different translations in different parts of my house, and in different parts of our church... I can find a NIV, NLT, KJV, NASB, and many more all over our church... and in my home.

And I hardly ever look on the spine of it to see what translation it is.
I pick it up, and because I know it is an English translation of the Bible I fully trust it as the word of God.

So your thesis in the OP doesn't apply to me... although I use many translations...

I will say this... it would be a sad person that would pick up a translation and doubt it was the Word of God.

And people that try to discredit versions of the Bible are guilty of doing the devil's work...
When a person says the Modern versions are not to be trusted, are just as guilty as those that say the KJV can't be trusted...

    Sad indeed...

Oh yeah stilllearning. I meant to add that if you a proponent of the KJV, you will be viewed as narrow minded and offensive to others. You have been warned!

You're sorry to hear I trust the Bible I am reading?

It is the KJVO extremists that have casts doubts on the Bible, and that Satan is using...

    Here is a question...

    Should I trust the NIV?

No...wrong, maybe, but not narrow minded. Offensive only comes into play when the versions I use are attacked. No non-KJVO person attacks the KJV like the KJVO's attack MV's.

Inaccurate... I have been here since 2003, and I have yet to see someone claim the KJV is not the word of God...

But I have seen KJVOs cast doubts on the NIV.

Which ones are doing God's work? Which ones are doing Satan's?

    Hi webdog

    Nice to hear from you.

The point that I am making, is “taking a stand”, on “one” Bible.

It is really impossible, to take a stand on more than “one” Bible, because each version uses different words.

It is the Word of God, that we are taking a stand on.

You are asking us to cast doubts on all other versions...

    I won't do that...

The NIV is as much the word of God as the KJV.

I use the KJV, but when I find a word or phrase that 'escapes' me, I run to the NIV, or to Young's Literal Translation, or go online and read what the 'scholars' have to say about that word or phrase, whether the 'scholar' is Arminian, or one of those kinds that some people here like to subtly mock or refer to as pseudo-followers of Christ - a Calvinist.

    But, trust ?

    Sorry.

That belongs to the Holy Spirit and only to the Holy Spirit.

I found that the KJV I am using now, isn't exactly the KJV I grew up on as a Christian. Every now and then I come across a word or phrase that wasn't written that way 30 years ago. I can't pinpoint it exactly, but I know in my mind something has changed.

That's why I am no longer a KJV only.
    Just KJV-Prefer.

    Hi tinytim

    You asked........
Yes, trust it and read it and “take a stand” on it.

This is what this post is asking everyone to do.
