Where friends meet and enjoy a cuppa; a cup of friendship and sharing.

    Cheers, and God bless,

Jim, The Landlord, as we would say in England

Oh goodie~a brand new room! I've got a new "plan" going on...two of my grandsons are here & I've shown them how much "fun" my snazzy new mower is, haha! Bless their hearts-now the 11yr old is going to save up his $$$ he makes mowing, & buy himself one! He sez "granny, I don't have to pull on a cord, or use any gasoline or oil!" WOW!

Well granny, the lad will lose his "pull". Most people want "pull" in this society, but I suppose doors of opportunity also have "push" on them.

Please remember that the Carpenter's Chapel has expanded to weekends as well. The Watchman will be submitting a devotional on both Saturday and Sunday.

    Cheers,

    Jim

It seems really quiet here today. I think I will go to bed and listen to the Radio 4 news.

    Good Night, God Bless

SisSheila~I'm always asked how many I have & that is truly a hard one to answer...as I really don't know. I have several right around me, some I never get to see, a few in heaven, some that are "adopted", & many 'cyber' ones & from what I hear thru the grapevine, "one on the way".

BroJim~one can never have too much good daily devotions. And you know what I find many times? A lot of them will coincide with each other even tho' they come from different sources.

Just different perspectives, granny. I can look at the same passage and get a different perspective each time. Perhaps why we call the bible a living book. It is always exciting.

Funny thing about attaching with children, they often remain a contact as they get older. I have "children" with their own children whom I befriended when they were toddlers. Love it.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Grannie, that sounds wonderful and yes, we find the same thing with our daily devotions too, quite often the same or very similar message as if to say "you will understand what I am saying to you " LOL

    Blessings

    Hello Sheila,
How is your puppy coming along?

On these message boards, sometimes it takes awhile to get back. Sometimes I wish we had a chat room too.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim,

Leo is better than he was thank you. He has had a drink and is having a cuddle with Rob. He is moving about better now, but he doesn't like us looking at his leg so best leave it be. He had a lump the size of a pea... I am sure he is on the mend now. Thank you for asking.

    Blessings

    Sheila

We have one dog that is nearing the end of the trail. She gets sores all over her body, and she has kidney "drains" in all her elbows..look like bumps of fluid, which is exactly what they are. We think about having her euthanized and then say, no, she isn't suffering, even though she looks bad, and she is still with us.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim,

Leo still hasn't eaten anything since this morning but he has had some water about an hour ago.

Yes, a chat room would be good but I would probably never get anything done, LOL. I still go to cw sometimes, do you ?

    Blessings

    Sheila

My daughters and grandsons just came in to tell me "breaktime"! So I dug a fresh strawberry cake outta my freezer & served it up...now all the tummies are happy.

My house looks like it was hit by a wrecking ball...I had seals underneath rotted out & flooring, studs all gone...in other words this ol'plantation is shot! Goodness, it's over 100yrs old. ~smile~

Son'n'law has been here all week trying to salvage what he can, but I've got a big gaping hole, as he had to remove the entire outside wall. My little corner of the world(my 'puter) is in disarray & everything's a mess elsewhere.

    Jim,

She has had a loving and safe home. It is so sad when their health fails. With Cassie it was so sudden, taken ill and gone in 12 hours. When Leo was crying this afternoon it reminded me of Cassie in her last hours...he sounded just like her then.

Well, it really is time for bed now,

    N'night all
