    As a Canadian I find this both sad and funny at the same time, but definitely true.

    Living in Australia, I've been far removed from the news and the issues but have considered absentee voting. Unfortunately, the motivation is not really there. My riding might switch from Liberal to Conservative and my vote could help. But it has been Liberal for a long time and was 60% Liberal in a by-election in March.

    It also looks like the question is not whether Harper will win, but by how much.

    Harper will win, and that would make most people here happy if they only knew who he was.
