Links to videos on You Tube. There are some citizens that use unsavory language during some of these videos. I suppose they should be beaten and arrested for it...maybe have their teeth knocked out. Any way you've been warned. If you find democracy messy and freedom objectionable you probably shouldn't view these videos.

Anarchists? Were these people really anarchists or is this what the government and media call citizens that stage protests now?

And now some much needed comic relief...

Truth Movement takes over Chris Matthews at DNC

Chris Matthews Gets Irritated with 9/11 Truth in Denver

I think it's funny. Matthews is so clueless as to what the Truth Movement is about and what "truthers" believe he just makes up lies as he goes to do his level best to demonize it and them.

    What a joke.

I imagine digital video cameras will be banned soon.

I do not know why these officers fall prey to these people. As a Military Police Officer in the Marine Corps we had to deal with anti-Star Wars Protestors who looked for opportunities to have this done to them. In fact they instigate these situations and the people filming these incidents film what is politically expedient to their cause. I can't remember how many class room hours we put in for training in dealing with these yahoos. While the officers appear to be idiots. I have reasonable doubts these vids are as what they are presented to be.

Of course you do Rev. I imagine you've never heard of COINTELPRO. On the other hand if you have I also imagine you'll side with the state anyway. You are a good citizen after all, right? You believe in the U.S. Constitution and Bill Of Rights...right?

In early 1971, the FBI's domestic counterintelligence program (code named "COINTELPRO") was brought to light when a "Citizens Committee to Investigate the FBI" removed secret files from an FBI office in Media, PA and released them to the press. Agents began to resign from the Bureau and blow the whistle on covert operations. That same year, publication of the Pentagon Papers, the Pentagon's top-secret history of the Vietnam War, exposed years of systematic official lies about the war.

Soon after, it was discovered that a clandestine squad of White House "plumbers" broke into Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office in an effort to smear the former Pentagon staffer who leaked the top-secret papers to the press. The same "plumbers" were later caught burglarizing the Watergate offices of the Democratic National Committee. By the mid-1970's Senate and House committees launched formal and lengthy inquiries into government intelligence and covert activities. These investigations revealed extensive covert and illegal counterintelligence programs involving the FBI, CIA, U.S. Army intelligence, the White House, the Attorney General, and even local and state law enforcement, directed against opponents of government domestic and foreign policy. Since then, many more instances of these "dirty tricks" have been revealed.

When congressional investigations, political trials and other traditional legal methods of repression failed to counter the growing movements of the 1950s, '60s and '70s, and even helped fuel them, the FBI and police moved outside the law. They used secret and systematic methods of fraud and force, far beyond mere surveillance, to sabotage constitutionally protected political activity. The purpose of the program was, in FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's own words, to "expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit and otherwise neutralize" specific groups and individuals. Its targets in this period included the American Indian Movement, the Communist Party, the Socialist Worker's Party, Black Nationalist groups, and many members of the New Left (SDS, and a broad range of anti-war, anti-racist, feminist, lesbian and gay, environmentalist and other groups). Many other groups and individuals seeking racial, gender and class justice were targets who came under attack, including Martin Luther King, Cesar Chavez, the NAACP, the National Lawyer's Guild, SANE-Freeze, American Friends Service Committee, and many, many others.

    FULL ARTICLE...

Enlighten me will ya Rev how exactly were you taught to deal with these uh, subversive elements? Describe some of the techniques you were taught to use against your fellow citizens for me. Were some of your instructors involved in COINTELPRO? Did you check to see if what you were being taught subverted the constitution or broke the law in any way?

C'mon Rev, level with me. I'm really curious about this now.

Sure I will enlighten you. My instructors were fellow Marines. And we were taught not to be instigated into these political ploys.

All opinion with nothing to back it up. That's pretty lame Rev did your instructors teach you to be like that too?

Soon as you answer my questions and back your claims against these protesters with something more than nothing. You can start by explaining what the military was doing training to interfer with constitutionally protected activities in the first place. Ever hear of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878?

Ummm.. ased on what information do you assume that the military was interfering with anything. Facts are these people would intentionally interfere with base activities. But once again you cannot support your personal accusation.

Hard to do when the person you're trying to have a debate with won't answer questions Rev. You say "facts are" but you haven't proven your facts are actually in fact, facts.

Allegations aren't facts till proven. At least that's what I'm told every time I make a statement.

Now, the facts about COINTELPRO are indeed facts because they have been proven over time. History shows that the state has a habit of abusing it's powers. Maybe you'd like to address this point? I'm not like some others here. If I start a thread I welcome evidence to the contrary and don't try to shut down debate because it isn't going my way. I'm not accusing you of this because I've never known you to act in such a manner. Those who do know who they are.

    So,...

Prove your own allegations Rev what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Then maybe we can go on from there eh?
